You guys think adding hydroton will be a good idea? For support AND light blockage? Or will it disrupt the roots popping out of the current rapid rooter medium thing I have right now.

Tbh I grow coco, the answers I've given you about dwc are just common info things on this site, pretty sure there's a dwc thread somewhere here, probably in the stickies at the top of newbie central, or possibly in the grow room design and setup section, I'm sure the answers to your question about hydrotron pellets and what not are there, happy growing
Thanks man, here's something quick I put together to stop any light getting through. The reservoir lid is actually pretty tight and almost snaps on and off. I think I'm good for that aspect now. I'll be reading as much as I can in that section of the forum, my main concern as of now is that root slime, which is a extremely common problem I'm finding out, and something I'm willing to work with. I've cleaned the reservoir flushed reduced nutes just a tad, lowered water level a half inch below the net pot. Just trying not to overthink this whole thing too much just wanna keep it simple! if you're not using organic nutes clorox bleach at 1 or 2 drops per gallon of water will keep it sterile. Pool shock is supposed to work also but i never used it.
