Super cropping questions

Instead of insulting me, maybe you'd be more of a productive member by explaining why I'm a moron. That's not helpful at all, no reason to be condescending.
Maybe you'd be a more productive member if you did just even a little research before saying stuff that you makes you look like a moron ?

Ya it is best to do when they are still stretching but you can get away with it pretty late in flower if needed. What is making it necessary?

I did some supercropping, I meant that I had some stretch taller than some others am still in early dflower, I was told not to by a lot of ppl while I'm in flower, so it was necessary I would say, they doing great since I did, now have a even canopy

I did some supercropping in flower due to the plants stretching way more than I thought. The tops that I supercropped are getting ridiculous buds and are far bigger than the tops I did no training on. So yeah it works well in flowering.

Thank u good sir, what I needed and wanted to hear:hump:

Does supercropping really induce bud production?

Should I supercrop my plants about a week before flower and as soon as they heal up switch to 12/12
It depends on the plant. It fucks up my L.A. Confidential. Makes skinny arms that sag under weight of mid sized buds at best. If you have a plant with FAT colas, then...dammit, I'm thinking of Monster Cropping.

Pinching off growth and basically treating your plant like a bonsai is great if you have limited room or grow indoors, or have plant limits; however, I don't think yields differ significantly enough to justify it. For the most part growth is redistributed more so than added.

I have done it, and will do it depending on my setup.

Supercropping will swell stems up and increase bud size to begin as well as offer a sturdier trunk to work with. The plant can only hold as much bud weight as the stems will allow. By diverting hormones as well it increases bud sites and evens out distribution more. In the end you can double yields. I also use this as an opportunity to re shape plants as well to maximize light space.

image.jpeg In the end it will really help trich production as well by concentrating its reserves to the tops if you clean up the underneath well esp. I like to top and supercrop right while I induce flower to slow stretch as well. It will really help with fast growers and work in your favor then.

Is there any actual accredited studies that confirm it increases yield? I'm reading all of this and thinking there may be a bit of bro science here lol. I honestly don't think it increases anything and have done it many times. It IMO is a great way to stop the plant from catching fire when it grows into the light, but I just don't go around snapping branches unless absolutely necessary. Never done any reall side by's so curious if there are any.

I've done this for over 20 years now. It def makes a difference. It's really just common sense. If a river has a bigger wider stream it's going to let more water flow through, same principle. Stronger stems= bigger buds. It's just a ton of extra work. Some strains like bubba which are slow don't grow as fast because of this though but will produce chunkier buds, but fast growers really benefit from it because it slows them to bush better and hold their weight better later on which naturally will increase bud size. It slows stretch too

Well I too have done it quite a few times but only started after moving inside, never tried outdoors except when the plant broke in its own. Again I have not seen an increase in yield but not saying it doesn't, just not for me lol. I also fail to see how breaking the stem allows for greater flow through the plant. Yes the stalk gets a big Knuckle but has it actually opened it up or just created a bunch of scar tissue, seeing's how it's just a small section of the stem how would it allow for more movement? The river if only made bigger at one point doesn't allow for more flow. Like I said it would be nice to see an actual study done instead of "I do it and it increases yield"....just saying lol. But I do think that yes if the plant is about to start smoking from the heat you have limited options, supercropping being one
