So what are you growing, man? No more bickering. Let's get to know you a bit. What's your light model/wattage, nutes do you prefer, strains growing now, favorite strains (i.e. What varieties of Skunk), etc.

I have a mars 300w led true light, and a 600w wellpar light ful led. I got a couple plants going from seeds skunk #1, sour haze , green crack ok chuck, sage and purple kush in fox fame soil using mykos from germination and general organics go box.
And a clone from the skunk #1, sour haze and purple kush in root spa's only using general organics go box.
Any advice will be help full

That sounds like a pretty good first setup. I started with Lighthouse Hydro BlackStars but have been using a $149 ViparSpectra 450w reflector series with 5w Bridgelux diodes and a full spectrum for the two plants I have in Flower (Heavyweight Fruit Punch and Big Buddha Blue Cheese.) I was going to say earlier, if you are looking to buy another light that's still cheap and really impressive quality for what you pay for it, keep that one in mind. Amazon and such. I really wasn't expecting the quality and effectiveness that I got with it.

im get 2 more lights next Friday but I will definitely check into that I was looking into the blackdog 200w what nutes should I use but I also have somany plants because I and trying to learn how to keep them under 12''

I use Nature's Care organic stuff. The potting mix (made from coco, sphagnum, yucca, and EWC plus kelp and alfalfa), the Veg/Fruit/Flower food (organic matter granules with like, a bunch of different Rhizobacillus strains) and I have their bone meal and blood meal in case I feel like amending with them. I also use Espoma Dolomite Lime, FoxFarm Bat Guano with mycorrizae and rhizobacillus, and organic blackstrap molasses. Neem for bugs before mid-flower.
Veg: VFF food, a bit of blood meal, guano, lime.
Flower: VFF food, guano, lime, molasses dilluted in water.
Nature's Care is an MG product, but it is the only line by MG that you should grow cannabis in. No time released ir synthetic nutes, OMRI listed, etc. I've shown a few people that it is an exception to the MG rule, and some guys have started growing in it as well.
Veg: VFF food, a bit of blood meal, guano, lime.
Flower: VFF food, guano, lime, molasses dilluted in water.

I keep the ViparSpectra about 12-18" from my canopy. You lose coverage below 12" and it doesn't blend the light well enough. Just a thought.

Oh, you meant the plants. Yeah, you got me there. I always grow a few big plants vs. SoG.
Are the mars hydro lights related to the mars aqua?
I had to raise them even higher today.. its at about 40".. i noticed some leaf edges were starting to curl

This is bullshit. The agreed upon definition does not include light sources.
Curl has nothing to do with too much light...... Check your temps.

Too much intensity CAN curl leaves. If you leaves are curling and your Temps are that low, raise your lights.
Yea it was definitely too much intensity. I am using some kessil h380s and just raised them up to 40" above the plant.

How do you like the kessil h380s. would you recommend the light over other led lights and how many kessil h380s lights would u think I need for a 4x4 tent

I bet those kessils would perform pretty good if you took lens off. No super hot center spot.
I've never used them before for growing, but I have been using them to grow coral for awhile. I have the kessils offset slightly from being directly over the plants to avoid that center beam but also at 40" it seems like it might be spread out enough.. I have 3 h380s I am using and I'll take some measurements of the light coverage when I get a chance. The only info I was able to collect on these lights being used in the past (n=1 lol) was that they make for good supplemental lighting but not enough on their own. I plan on putting that to the test since I had already invested in the lights.
As far as comparing them to the other LED fixtures... In the reef hobby kessil has a bigger presence but people also use what is referred to "Chinese black box" or "shit boxes".. an example of that would be something like the Mars aqua lights.. those led panels and fixtures with the huge leds that create like a spotlighting effect.. the modularity that is offered from using these kessil lights and being able to place them in almost any position is pretty nice.

SO... You have this Kessil H380 (3 of them) and you believe it is too much light? Those things run at 90w.... Thats 270w of light... Most likely, it is not that efficient so the amount of light is not even close to what some people run 12" from their plants.....
Y'all need to get off this too much light shit. And are you flowering? I cant imagine you are due to your humidity levels, at least Id hope not. Whats your fan situation like? A lot of air movement or very little? Possible Magnesium deficiency?

How much light within the red spectrum can a plant absorb? The photosynthetic maximum? In absence of other colors?
Wattage has nothing to do with Photon Flux btw...
