DIY OSRAM OSLON SSL led panel

I advice you to use this ratio for flowering : 730/660/630/CWhite : 1/4/4/4 replace the 730 with a blue 450 for veg.
with Oslon @500mA, your pannel will be more efficient than most Cob diy panel.
The rest is easy, chose the current you want to drive them: 350mA, 500mA, or 700mA.
On the datasheet you will find the voltage for each of these currents, you finally need to multiply by the number of led you have for this color, add all colors and you have the max voltage of your PCB.
go check if any HLG ....C correspond to the max voltage you have. and that is it.

Curious what is the efficiency of that panel you're referring to?

I am big curios about one thing only cobs I reach easily and in cheap way to samsungs

those samsung cobs LC040B's are gonna cost me like 7 dollars

I'm not too sure on the Veros, I'm a Cree guy.. But they will put out a lot more power and still be more than 40%.. You could grow some good stuff under there.. I would guess about a 400ppfd in a 4x4 with reflectors.

buying veros from abroad will cost me real much please first understand me ; I am living with my girlfriend and sharing bit by bit everything soo I need to find the best cheap possible option around me I went down in every inch of those forums thcbay ledmagazine and rollitup, couple of rattles also I attend and couple of projects I attend to finish
most of them are failed because something showed up and I had to spent the money of the light for those situations

but now i have 150-200 dollars to spend ,

I want 4 x LC040B samsung led 2 and 2 will be parallel

HLG185H C1400B DRİVER

AND BUNCH of monos in mix of red blue between those cobs

Those are some garbage numbers, but ok ish for the size... Anything smaller than a 4x4 isn't usable for myself. And ppfd of 250 past 1 ft x 1ft is one of the worst I've seen. I'll take my 833 PPFD throughout my 5x5z
you do realize it's drawing 125-133w at the wall?, those are good #s ==== expecting it cover a 4x4 in flower with that wattage is not happening in 2016....

top group/bin oslon's 660nm are mostly unbeatable in umol/j(within PAR) according to alesh's #s.................NOT easy to grow or see anything with it though,lol

It would cover a 4x4 better than the previous light that was just red and blues. Which was my point. I would love to see a high par output blurple light but I haven't seen it yet. And by high I'm talking at least 800ppfd in a 5x5 because that's what I'm running and I do have 2 spaces still available in my 10x15'.

I'll definitely check them out if you have some DIY option that's out there!

Also I picked up 2 1000W HPS reflectors, digital balist and a few timers for $160, why not just go on the Craigslist? I also picked up another 1000w for $65. It seems like fishing on there would be way better than trying to make a cheaper led you know?

I have cobs for my 5x5. But truth be told I'd rather have 6 of the 2x2 Osram panels.....which would be the easy price of 3600 beans.....haha. And 528 actual watts and probably half the heat as my 16 cxb 3590.

I'm waiting for osrams next panel to come out that doesn't need to be hung 20 fucking feet off the ground.

Unfortunately California light works new SS 550(overdriven ssl80) is only pushing 1.5 umol/j otherwise I'd jump on it.

That's not to bad at all, do you know that actual PPDF is from your lights? Because all I have seem on lights are super fast fall off compared to the higher end Cree and varos.

The lights that were posted here earlier were garbage.

So there is a newer board coming out that's more efficient? I'm at 61% myself.

Osram just released the horti series of SSL LEDs. Way better.

With the Osram Zelion panels it will fall off from center beam with out reflective walls or supporting lights. If I had 6-9 of the Zelion HLs I'm sure the PPFD would be epic and mostly even. Even my 16 CXBs have a hotter center spot....every light will have a hot center spot unless you remove LEDs from center.

Look at Zelion hl 300. Light. Crazy price but damn. 600w of Osram ssl80. And it has white not just red blue

Thats the idea, you spread out the leds to have an even canopy all over,

thus how I get 833-830 all over my canopy from 2.5 ft away.

Looking at that light It would cost $4,000 to get about the same light output im getting for $1,600...
I cant see it being worth it.

The light drops off within about 1.5 SqFt to an unusable amount, so overlap would put it at around 500ppfd. with hot spots of 900ppft. making it the same as my light.

To be fair it does save 200W at the wall and probably some heat. But I have 800W CXB 3590s being ran passively in my room at it makes the room stay at 75F.

So it comes down to a 5x5 costing $4K or $1.6K for the same amount of light... not even getting into the quality.

How do you justify it for such a 200W difference costing

umol/s/W / CRI: 4.53 / 70CRI so the data above is accurate.
