Thank you. The Heisenberg is great smoke.
I have been enjoying some fine Heisenberg smoke too. And I just took another one down today. I have also been smoking some Afterlife, Skunk, Exodus Cheese, Cheese(Dinafem),and a GDP cross. I'm loving the variety. I usually grow one or two different strains but the last couple runs I have mixed shit up and it really is refreshing to be able to have so many different tastes and smells and highs available.

So as I mentioned I took down a Heisenberg today. I put that plant and another one in a dark tent. The first one I took out after 48 hours. The other one I will leave in the tent for another 24 hours. I have never done this in the past. I always hear about it, but I have never actually done it. To be honest there were not really any visible difference as far as trichomes at first, but once I started trimming I really started to see how beautiful the buds were. Now they were already covered before the dark period, so I did a close examination with a scope. I did find that the trichomes had changed in color and somewhat in shape. After the dark period most all the trichomes were a thick milky color, with a few here and there that were amber. I could not find a clear trichome head anywhere. And before I put them in the dark there were quite a few clear heads still. A lot of the trichome heads seemed to be more bulbous in shape. I don't know if this would have happened in the light from maturing or if it was the dark that did it. Have any of you used this dark period method? and what have your results been?

Day 42..sorry for the delay in getting new pics up, been a hectic few weeks. I really am liking how this one is going. Impressive bud formation in a short period without much in the way of any nutes.. once back on day 30 so far. I will probably give it another shot of calmag and maybe a full dose of big bud and tiger bloom, but it doesnt really seem to be calling for it. It did remain a short stout plant maybe because of the LST, next run indoors I will LST one and leave one alone, but that run wont happen until the fall. The frost is coming along on this one which has been surprising to me. The way this is growing and stacking up, it has made me really re-think autos. I am not saying it will give me the weight of a photo, but given its timeline so far and the way it is forming up it is definitely worth adding into the cycles.

Sometimes we just get lucky. I got a call from a friend this morning who is going to Africa next week to work with the world health organization. He will be gone for at least 6 months. He gifted me his seed stash and there are 2 Heisenberg Special seeds in there!!! He also gave me some gear from Paradise Seeds, Royal Queen Seeds, and Seedsman. Most of the strains I have experience with so that's another big plus. Having really good friends is rare and awesome.

One of the best dudes around. He is an eye Dr. with a great career and is dropping it all to help prevent blindness in rural Africa. He explained to me that they have this disease there that causes blindness and is transmitted by tears. I forgot the name of the disease but I remember it sounds like trichoderma. He is also on the hunt for any landrace strains he comes across. He said he will bring me some beans if he finds something good.

Yes he is a great guy. So I put some of those seeds in rockwool today. I planted 1 Bella Donna from Paradise Seeds, 2 Royal Moby's from Royal Queen Seeds, and 2 Mango Tango's from Elemantal Seeds. Should make for a nice little run. I also have an auto tent running with 1 Chronic Ryder from Joint Dr., 1 Fast and Vast Auto from Heavy Weight Seeds, 1 OG Kush Auto from Original Sensible Seeds, and 1 Biodiesel Mass Auto from Advanced. That run is 2.5 weeks from sprout. Gonna have some fun with these strains. I will post some pics tonight.

I totally love people that invest their time to help other people just for the benefit of helping other people and ask nothing in return! Volunteers like that are what make the world a better place! KUDOS TO YOUR DOCTOR FRIEND!

With all of the strains that you have running, you must have one hell of a setup. I'm playing around with my inaugural HID run with four plants in a 3x3 tent and I am maxed out on space. I am attempting a run using just a HPS throughout the entire grow on 18/6 and I have a Durga-Mata cross in there that could potentially outgrow the tent! I could swear that when I opened the tent this morning I heard," Feeeeed Meee Uni...FEED ME!"
