10W of what? power dissipation? heat dissipation? if its good for a 10W single die its way overkill for cobs

meant for cobs, for single dies at 10 watt forget it....good for 3 Watts monos on Star-MCPCB

3M™ tape 8805 -> Thermal Conductivity‎ 0.60 W/m-K‎
one of the best grease -> Thermal Conductivity‎ 8.5 W/m-K‎

Sorry but you are so wrong sir. I got the skivvy on that tape the 3M part is right 9448A is the adhesive that was applied to the thermal padding that is rated at 4w/mk

Btw the engineers over at Kingbrite tested it plus they giving it away not trying to charge for it which is pretty cool in my book. @guod sorry man but you made a mistake lol we all do it at least I know you're human and the adhesive can handle 70C long term it's says it on the datasheet I was looking at because the part number didn't jive when I looked it up. I'm gonna call 3M on Monday to see if they do that.

Interesting thanks realstyles.... I could have used the free pads after all.

My cobs are running so cool the heat sinks are not even warm to the touch. I really wonder if I needed these 8 x 1.4kg heavy heat sinks i got, my room is only 1 degree Celsius hotter in a 4x4 tent.

This system is built to last the century, split one plant trying to hang this heavy beast of a thing myself but it will recover fine.

Arctic Thermal Pad
Their job is not to replace the thermal grease used between the heat sink and powerful components (mainly CPU, APU, GPU), but rather will be used for VRM power, memory and other components less heat .. although I think that will be sufficient for use in case CPU COB .. and one of the worst results in a thermal adhesive 0.9 watts / mK, i think it would be enough .. difference of about 4 ° C compared Prolimatech PK1 .. and whether 3M thermal pad 3-4 watts / mK will serve more than well for COB .. like Arctic Thermal Pad 6 watts / mK

I love the results for the adhesive cream for dentures.


ill bet when it comes down to it you can take any of those top 20 or 30 products and the performance is even moreso a function of the person applying it

People always put on way way toooo much. It's meant to be used in a layer that's measured @ a few thousands of an inch.
