Hermaphrodite plants. Help.

So I am in flowering day 25 and I noticed that two of my plants are producing seeds. I guess it was because I got the dreaded nitrogen claw... And that stressed my plants too much.

I was wondering if its worth it to carry on. The real question is:

Will my buds keep swelling or will I just get 100% seeds from now on? It seems the buds keep getting bigger but maybe its due to seeds?

Thanks.

Can anyone help me. Will I get only seeds from now on or shall I start over? Buds look a bit bigger today...

You will get a lot of seeds but its worth finishing the grow IMO. The buds will get bigger, not as big as they could have been, but bigger. What week are you? You can pick off the male pollen sacks and that could help slow it down some. If you have a lot more than just the 2 hermie plants in flowering than just cut down the hermies(remove them from the room with a garbage back on them first); depends how many other plants ya got going. Chances are the herms are genetic.

Thanks for your input. I tried looking for any nanners or male flowers, but plants are so huge and bushy that i cant find any.

This is my second grow. I also got hermies on my first one. No light leaks, but I got nitrogen claw on both... I don't know why I keep getting hermies.

I'm on day 26 (week 4 I guess?) yeah there are lots of seeds already so I guess ill carry on and get rid of the seeds when I jar buds.

Did you use feminized seeds?

Some pics. It's erdpurt from ace seeds. The three of them hermied but the other two violetas (ace seeds too) don't have any seeds yet. Same for the bubblegum and great white shark. Strange. Maybe is genetic as you said...not sure.

Must of been the N tox that did it. It does stress the plant if it gets bad. (yours doesnt apper bad from the pics)
I guess so. I keep getting nitrogen burn with biobozz fish mix. It's really strong. I'll lower the dosage on my next grow.

keep the grow going.. there is no proof that seeded bud is any less potent than sensi, and in fact, a lot of people think that the opposite might even be true..
they should get just as big as they would have if they didn't get seeded, only now you'll have seeds in it. no big deal..

if you have other plants that aren't seeded yet, look over the plants for any bananas and pluck them as you find them.. a lot of times, if you simply pluck them, they won't come back again.. just keep an eye on them and pull them off gently as you come across them..

Your words are a relief. Thank you. This makes me want to carry on.

I always heard that seeded plant stops producing bud and only makes seeds. I guess its not true. Or not 100% true at least. I noticed that buds keep growing. However pistils are turning amber. Bit soon, but I will tell of its ripped looking at trichomes instead of pistils

yeah, that's an old wives tale for sure..
have you never bought a bag of say mids and it had seeds in it? was the bud not about the same size as a bud that doesn't have seeds in it?? it should have been..

you're going to lose a bit of weight over all as the seeds will make up a bit of the total weight of the total crop, gram for gram, but if it's just for personal, head smoke, it's really not a big deal to have seeded bud..

also, like i said, a lot of people believe that having the plant be pollinated, it actually goes through it's entire life cycle, the way it would have in nature, and as a result, it will produce more cannabiniods as a result.. this is just one of those things you hear around from a few old heads, and nothing really proven, but thought i'd throw it out there anyhoo..

Very good info! I was wondering if you think ill be able to use the seeds or maybe I shall get rid of them?

you can use them . it all depends really on what caused the plant to hermie in the first place as to how stable the seeds will be..
if it was something like stress from nitrogen over load like you believe, the seeds should be pretty stable, and really only likely to hermie if they experience the same stress as the mother..
but if it was not from stress, but rather from wonky genetics, the chances increase a bit of the seeds also being hermie..
i'd probably try and grow a few out, if they hermie, and you have other plants growing, you can either kill them or keep them going, and if they don't, nothing better than free beans imo..

Awesome. Gonna try a experimental grow after this. Hell, even if I get hermies I don't care, because I can make a sea of green with this many seeds. I've seen like 10 at least and I have 40-50 days to go yet.

Want some? Lol :p.

Really helpful.
