What is burping the jars?Well your guna have to hang/dry your buds before you start the cure process ........there's lots of different methods people use ......but I personally will hang individual branches until they are dry enough to where the stem breaks but doesn't snap in half ......then I like to start my cure in brown paper grocery bags half or so full with the top of the bag folded over .....this makes it easy to dump the buds to air them out once moisture is up from being in the bags .......il use the bags for a few days and then I go to jars and finish curing burping the jars when needed
Oh and where to I hang dry the buds, I'm a closer or outside?Well your guna have to hang/dry your buds before you start the cure process ........there's lots of different methods people use ......but I personally will hang individual branches until they are dry enough to where the stem breaks but doesn't snap in half ......then I like to start my cure in brown paper grocery bags half or so full with the top of the bag folded over .....this makes it easy to dump the buds to air them out once moisture is up from being in the bags .......il use the bags for a few days and then I go to jars and finish curing burping the jars when needed
Really? WowPeople love being spoon fed these days... durrrr.
no dig no honey.K read up on the dry cure process to get familiar with what it is.......trust me harvesting is the most important part of your grow ....you can lose all your hard work not knowing the most important part ....I suggest you go watch some youtube videos on drying and curing there's lots of good ones on there. Watch several ........they will answer most all your questions ......after that if you still have questions then come back and ask .......
With you tube and google and yes of course Riu .....there's no need to come in asking questions with absolutely no idea at all .......watching 3 good videos and the OP would probably gain a lotTheres so much information on here...
It would just be nice if people were to look arround and research what they need to know instead of jumping to posting a question.
If you arnt able to find it in here then you can always try google. If you still cant find it, THEN ask away.
More people would be willing to help if they know you tried first.
Thank you.. Well said!! GeeezAs the 3rd opinion .... You are welcome to ask ... That is WHY THIS FORUM IS HERE. Sometimes common courtesy to new growers would be a better result than slamming the door and tell them to scour youtube. Half of those vids are jokes anyways.
IMO it would make " BETTER SENSE " to ask growers ( first hand ) more than kicking them out. Its EASIER to be a Dick than it is too ACTUALLY help.
You can PM me if you would like some options to cure.

Thanks Nobodies.. Appreciate that dawg..good looking out-Cut plant at base, Hang for 48 hours to let plant actually die. (takes 48 hours for the plants internal processes to actually cease, during this time excess sugars, starches, whatenot are converted into more smoke friendly forms.)
- after 48 hours remove all large fan leaves, leave on sugar leaves
- after another 4-5 days, cut off large branches and hang each branch separately until outside of bud is dry, and inside is slightly moist
-When the stem INSIDE the bud just barely snaps, trim to perfection then begin curing.
Check Jars each day for excess moisture build up -- if there is some, remove buds, let dry overnight -- then re jar-- repeat until no moisture builds up inside jars
Humidity of drying room should be 45-55%
Temperature of drying room should be 65-75d F
Actual bud moisture should be 8-10% at time of curing
Total time from chopping until starting cure should be 7-12 days.
No light
One more thing, you can buy cheap hydrometers, and place them inside the jars to get a grade a perfect cure. (2 weeks minimum). With hydrometers, you can only burp the jars when absolutely necessary, when the humidity rises above the specific amounts. Thanks Nobodies.. Appreciate that dawg..good looking out
you mean when the RH rises above 65%? Then I need to burp the bottlesOne more thing, you can buy cheap hydrometers, and place them inside the jars to get a grade a perfect cure. (2 weeks minimum). Yes keep the humidity in the jars under 60% ideally 55-59% or so. 60% is prob fine as long as it stays stable, if it keeps rising above that, continue burping the jars until the humidity levels out.you mean when the RH rises above 65%? Then I need to burp the bottles
