I totally love people that invest their time to help other people just for the benefit of helping other people and ask nothing in return! Volunteers like that are what make the world a better place! KUDOS TO YOUR DOCTOR FRIEND!

With all of the strains that you have running, you must have one hell of a setup. I'm playing around with my inaugural HID run with four plants in a 3x3 tent and I am maxed out on space. I am attempting a run using just a HPS throughout the entire grow on 18/6 and I have a Durga-Mata cross in there that could potentially outgrow the tent! I could swear that when I opened the tent this morning I heard," Feeeeed Meee Uni...FEED ME!"
I hear you sometimes they just get to be monsters lol. I really like trying out different strains so I am always trying something new in one tent and then I have my old faithful strains in another. Sometimes, like tonight when I go out with my friends I will have 3 or 4 joints, all different strains. I like to get their reactions to the different tastes, smells, and highs. I keep certain strains in an ongoing rotation because I hook up some sick folks with meds. They need consistency more than the fancy newest strains. I also love to experiment with different techniques and grow styles. I am a soil guy but I have a few DWC buckets I run once in a while when supplies get low. I always recommend that any serious grower have at least 2 tents. Then you can do so much more, like having a veg room and a flower room or take cuts and flower out clones in another room. I just gives you many more options. Once you get the hang of running one tent, another is only going to help you out. And if you run auto's you can just keep them in the veg tent. It really is a lot of fun.

Yeah, I don't think my other half would go for another tent. I had to fight like hell just to get this one up and running, but I understand that it is common that people run two tents; one veg and one flower. After my current run is over, maybe a month or so, I am very seriously considering my very first dwc/scrog run with a C99x. My current run is a dry run, just to test out my gear, and then when it's done I will tend to my new hobby a little bit more seriously. My current run is being done with a constant 18/6 light schedule with just a Plantmax HPS. When this is done, I plan on getting a Plantmax MH, 4200k, and a scrog net for my next project and of course adhere to the light schedule that was recommended by Dutch Pro just to see if there is a difference in the end result. Of course, this is all subject to change contingent on whether or not The Vault has another comparative grow at that time or not. If I start my scrog run before the next promo I may miss out. In fact, now that I think about it, I feel really cheap relying on The Vault for free seeds; I should be a paying customer by now; just haven't had the money saved up yet.

The Vault has some great strains too. I am addicted to buying seeds lol. I just crave more and more. I actually just ordered some sweet pink cheese seeds yesterday. I have been itching to get this strain for a while and I saw them on sale so I jumped in and purchased a pack. The nice thing is being able to pick out a strain that will work best in your set up. I try to pick strains that do well in high temps because my summer temps indoors get to 89-90 during lights on. In winter I can run anything but in summer I try to pick tropical loving strains.

Must be nice to have your "addiction" to buying seeds and you can afford them. Being on disability takes every penny every month. The Vault posted this really cool pic of what they called "Avatar" because of the bluish color and it looks really impressive. If I can afford them, I may spring for a pack at a later date. Once I get my hands on a MH then I think that I will be totally and completely ready to roll with the "Big Boys." Oddly enough, I live in a southern state kinda close to The Gulf of Mexico, and my temps in my tent are consistently 76-81. The humidity fluctuates from 45%-60%. The upper range only happens after a big rain; go figure, an indoor growing tent that is effected by outside weather...SMH. As far as strains are concerned, I am sticking with autos for awhile. I still have a ton of grow and bloom nutes that are made specifically for autos being grown in coco and I took advantage of the sample pack of nutes from RX Green Solutions that I got specifically for the next comparative grow. My plan is/was to do a side by side of the same strain using coco in both but using Dutch Pro basic nutes in one pot and the RX Green Solutions in the other, just to see what a difference in nutes can make. I'll have to use just the basic grow and bloom for each as the supplements for the RX Green Solutions is not available in my area; not for 50 miles from my zip code. I could order them online but that would be a hassle. Like I said earlier though, my next run is directly relative to when The Vault has it's next comparative grow scheduled. I may miss it.

Sorry for the long pause in between postings.. been a rough several weeks. I have been in and out of the hospital since July 26 with my last discharge happening on Monday the 8th . While away I had a close friend taking care of things while I was laid up and unfortunately the weather here has also been brutal with flash floods in areas close to me and the temps have been up there with ungodly humidity. I made it down to my few outdoor plants today which would be day 62 or 63 for the Heisenberg to just have my heart sink. The plant looked beautiful as I approached, but then I noticed deep brown areas on most buds. I have been plagued with bud rot on my one and only and very first auto... I wanted to scream and beat something when I saw this... Lesson learned, the hard way, don't grow Autos outdoors when the temps are high but the humidity is even higher. Believe me, had I known this ahead of time I sure as heck would have had outdoors fans blowing across this plant to keep it dry. But I can cry over this or chalk it up to lifes hard knocks. Towards the end of the month or early September I plan to start the rest of my heisenberg indoors and will have progress pic's for them. So on this outdoor one, I chopped the buds with rot, which was an easy 70% and will watch the small ones left closely and may have to take them too... just makes me sick.br3.jpg br4.jpg br1.jpg br2.jpg

Just curious, would Neem oil fix that?

Hope you have a speedy recovery and feel better soon.

Good question. I will do some research, thanks for the idea. I have never had bud rot, never, but then I have never done an auto until now. All of my outdoor grows have been photos so I never had buds to deal with when it is hot and humid out.
Just an idea. If you do it and it doesn't pan out I'll take the blame if it makes you feel better. Just be advised that it is not recommended that you spay anything on a flowering/budding plant because of the possibility of developing bud rot. But, if this is your last resort to repair bud rot then you might give it a go. Hopefully someone with more experience on this subject will chime in with a definite solution. Good luck and please keep us posted as I am curious now how to fix this.

Hey bro, sorry about the bud rot. I am finding that the HS is prone to bud rot. I had some buds rot on mine during the drying. There is no way to fix it. And make sure you don't smoke the moldy, or rotted bud. You generally don't want to spray shit on buds no matter the problem. Making them moist with neem oil may just make the problem worse and you really don't want to be smoking neem oil. Next time run em indoors and keep humidity low during flower and drying.
