The neem oil would be in/on the buds so no amount of flushing would remove it. And if you were to try and wash the neem oil from the buds you would make the rot worse.

You are right. If we are talking bud worm damage you are going to want to look into a bacterial product like Spinosad or Thuricide. Those are really great products to use for bud worms, but this is bud rot we are talking and that is a different story. Bud rot is a mold that has spores like a mushroom and those spores spread onto other parts of the plant and cause havoc across plants in your garden. I live in an area that gets rain 5 days a week on average. I have dealt with more mold and bud rot than most. Our outdoor garden gets bud rot almost every year. It is just a matter of how fast we catch it. We tried all sorts of methods to stop it or slow it down. We tried loctobacilus and hot pepper sprays, even goat milk and all sorts of shit and nothing worked. So now we just chop as soon as we see any signs of mold or rot. It may be early but we save most of our harvest. Cut the area around the rot out and toss it in the garbage. Don't throw that shit back into you garden or compost. Keep the mold away. This is all from my own experience and others may have different tricks or things that they say works, but for me there is no stopping bud rot once it sets in. I hope this helps someone.

@Jack Vault any word on when we are going to have another comparative? We really get to share so much great info during these grow. I enjoy the interaction so much and I always learn something new. We really have a great group that gets in on these and it is one of the few long lasting threads that stays positive. So many haters on so many threads but here we really show a lot of love to each other. Just a cool bunch in the comparatives.

Bummer. I had hoped for a "guaranteed fix" for this; didn't realize that it was so severe.

I've got a few jars of this and that. C99, seedsman ww, various kinds from brick seeds, Heisenberg, and some dinafem amnesia xxl.

A few others I would have to go look at to remember. I like variety myself.

I crossed the Heisenberg to a c99 photo. Ill find a auto flowering offspring and cross it back to the Heisenberg a couple times then spray a couple that I like for a few 1000 seeds. I also crossed the Heisenberg to a big bud x ww and a dinafem blue amnesia xxl.

I just lost one to similar thing except the driver was high and drunk and hit a friend that was walking down the road. The driver my friend laying in a ditch and drove off. Opiates were involved.

Its why I'm pro cannabis.

Best to take some scissors and alcohol, cut all bad areas out and wipe scissors and fingers or rubber gloves clean after every cut.

Its been in the 90's the last few falls here and high humidity. I've battled it numerous times. Its why I started a small indoor.

The best that can be done is chop it down and salvage what you got. There is no stopping it.

Yep, I read your scrog journal trying to get my head wrapped around the concept of scrogging; EXCELLENT GROW JOURNAL! I learned some things from it and it gave me enough confidence to try it, assuming that things go as planned. Because you have already done this, would it be ok if I pm'd you with questions about my scrog when the project is up and running?

I have and baking soda to.

The more you fight it, the more you lose. Treat it like a band aid and get it over. Chop and salvage it.
