LST + supercropping?

Hello

I've been thnking, is it possible to LST a plant to the point where all side shoots are going up forming almost individual plants and then supercrop these branches? Would it work and would it augment yield even more than simple LST? Also, assuming i start LSTing on 3rd week veg and i go to 5 weeks total, when should i supercrop?

You can begin LST at almost anytime. I've LSTed plants as young as 1 week and I've seen people LST seedlings at day 3 in their grow journals. You can LST a plant so that it is basically flat if you want and that will send all of the side shoots straight up, unless you LST those flat too. If you are going to supercrop, you should do it a few days (2-4 days) before you begin flowering so that the joints at the bends can heal. You could supercrop if you wanted, but you could just as easily continue LSTing and manipulate the side branches into better positions. LST isn't necessarily just bending the plant over to produce more off shooting branches, it can also be used to rearrange the branches and leaves into a more efficient light absorbing configuration.

LST + supercropping might boost your yields more than just LST, it depends on your situation really. LST, supercropping, and pruning are all techniques used to improve the light absorption of the plant; a good rule of thumb is to LST before you attempt any supercropping and supercrop before you do any pruning, but proper use of any/some/all three techniques can boost your yield. Find what works for you.

I'll have to study on this. Sounds awsome. Does anyone know of any links to pictures or a video showing how to do this?

Nice!!! I had a dream last night of my plants and then i woke up and i came up with the idea of LST +supercropping. I'm certainly gonna try it on at least 1 plant, and i'll surely post pics of it.
