I've always kinda felt like running plain ol molasses delivered plenty of carbs. This year, I'm using Molasses and Humboldts Honey ES.
I keep hearing that I need to run Carbo Load during bloom. A grower friend of mine showed me an article that said Carbo Load couldnt be replaced with traditional methods. I look at the magazine... It's writtten by Michael Straumietis.(Owner of Advanced Nutrients)
I get my info from here. From growers that've used everything.

Am I wasting my money on all this shit? Is Carbo Load really irreplaceable?

MOLASSES contains no bullshit which cannot be said about most grow boosters and bud busters and other silly crap. I always try to use individual basic ingredients and mix myself. I mix molasses in my water 2/3 of the time. It makes nothing sweeter but adds fast food for the herd and contains sulfur and K.

Haha. Thanks for responding. Yeah, Ive always started with very good rich organic soil, stay away from chemicals, maintain the microbial health of my soil more than anything, and Ive always had good luck with the basic way I feed. I stay 100% organic all the way up to the last month, then I run a small regime of boosters before I flush for two weeks and cut. The only reason I question anything this year is because this is the first year ive got multiple girls that'll probably pull me more than a pound each, and Im curious if these girls ate more.

Don't be sold by the hype train, molasses works just as good or better.
Seems to be the popular opinion. Its good to hear. I'd much rather drive to the grocery store and pick up a $5 bottle of molasses than 5Xs as much on something Im not even 100% certain about.

Thanx all.

Yes it is important but you don't need two separate sources so you should choose one. On there other hand I do believe there is a myth regarding beneficial bacteria. I don't believe that adding beneficial bacteria is necessary at all. They way I understand the process bacteria/fungi will automatically appear if you give them the correct organic material (starting with sugar and including all the organic materials we add to our super soil). I use home made beneficial bacteria catalyst outlined in this second post here

Those people want to sell you something and they will sell you anything that you will buy, which may or may not have a benefit in your garden.
