Airy Buds under 1,000w HPS

I'm growing in Coco. Using H&G Cocos A+B.

Plants were doing FANTASTIC in veg, after switching to H&G Cocos.

Using the same nutes in flower, they're just not doing well.

I'm growing under 1,000w HPS, new bulb, AC w/good temps.

Possible causes:

Insufficient light - No.
Heat - Don't think so; buds aren't getting foxtails.
Genetics - Possible. 3rd generation clones from feminized seeds, but last grow was perfectly fine.
Nutrients - Was watering with EC 2.0; told to flush and lower to 1.2.

I also had a small amount of light leak for the first two weeks, which I fixed. There hasn't been that much progress since.


So, are these buds a complete waste, or is there a way to fatten them up enough to actually harvest them?

Yep. Complete waste. Scrap em and start over.

Heat and big temperature swings from day to dark can do it. The cooler the temp, the harder the buds.

On some strains where i need to control stretch i will make sure i close the gap on the lights on to lights off temp. If you can that to 5 deg f you can really reduce that significantly.

How far along are you those look like they just started coming along in the last two weeks and have at least four to six more left.

It's not the light but the strain growing - sativa strains will be more l likely to be like you described

They have a lot longer then 2 weeks to go, just because the breeder says 9 weeks doesn't mean shit. They look like they probably have 4 weeks left give it time they will fatten up.

Also what npk is your nutes you shouldn't be using the same nutes in flower as you did in veg?

They have a lot longer than two weeks. They look sativa dominant. One possible reason for fluffly buds and also longer flowering.

Most breeder times are off. Very few true 8-9 weeks strains.

If you had major light leaks in first two weeks, you may only be on week 5. What is your airflow like? You say ac but it is harder to do ac and air exchange properly. Describe

Even if they are week 7, your plant definitely looks heavily Sativa dominant. It could take as long as 14 weeks, but it's definitely not 2 weeks away. Do not cut in two weeks, you'll fuck yourself out of 2-3 months of your life.
