Bigger Canopy Bigger Yields?

I have a question regarding canopy space, I have ran grows from 6 lights to 32 lights by myself or with one partner. So I'm not a noob i just am curious as to why all growers are running 4x8 trays in rows rather than flood the room with plants, between each row of trays is normally a good two feet that you can have more plants or a bigger canopy in. I understand its for organization and fire exits in warehouses, Currently I'm running a 12k setup I run 1000w adjustawings 4 lights over 2 4x8 trays in rows so three 16x4 rows. And i kind of replicated jungleboyz with my setup and space in between rows and also there auto feeding. But I'm only getting 1.2 to 1.7 a light (All fire OGs and low yielding exotics) But wouldn't i be able to hit that 2 a light mark if not more if i made use of that open space in between my rows of trays? I hardly need to get into the canopy after week 3 of flower anyways, I understand it would be way less organized and I would have to crawl under the canopy to get to certain plants. Idk if I'm just high and i hope this all makes sense when read, but why aren't more people taking advantage of sq footage and blowing out there rooms instead of organizing it and wasting space?

are you asking . if you space them out more will you get more yield ? yes you will . space out plants can get more lights to the middles and sides of the plants .

Yeah basically I'm asking if i ditched the trays and the organization with the isles and put a few more plants in the room and spread them out more would i hit bigger yields? I know it sounds like a pretty dumb question, But why aren't more people doing it? people are complaining about not hitting 2 a light but i see there rooms and they're wasting a ton of space trying to make everything look like jungleboyz rooms etc

most people are space limited . I agree . space them out . raise the lights a bit and spread a huge area . I have seen people go a 20/20 room with 10k watts and it was like being out side . light on every plant .

I used small furniture dolly roller to put the isle plants on then rolled them out of the way when I needed in. light hitting the floor is wasted.

light hitting the floor for sure is wasted . but when i space my lights out about 1 foot away i have a major wall of light and even the side of the plants get light not just the tops but some light will hit the floor . so idk what one is better . depending on the amount of lights you have .

that's where LST comes in to get a flat top bud canopy.
