Honestly I used the whole line for a while and then I dropped stuff until I was down to just the a\b and mag to see what was the difference and there really isn't much . Plants only eat what they want no matter what you force down the soil or coco or hydro for that matter . If it isn't a readily available nute then it will store as salts in the media and eventually reek havoc on your ladies. Most of the time when you get a deficiency or build up it has been happening for a while. Things are not automatic in the plant world. So to answer your question , no I don't think that it is necessary but if you run 1/2 of the line then why not all of it or just use the a/b and mag for a while and see what you get. A lot of times less is more . Sounds dumb but it is true.

I am still concerned about what you said about the flavor and the resin production halted. Now was that issue because you were still figuring things out or do you believe H&G coco nutes are just garbage. I have been running 5 mls of A & B per gallon plus the cal mag and it's been 900 ppms so if that's causing the lockouts I don't think I can go higher. If I remember the ec to ppms chart correctly 0.9 ec is right around 900 ppms. So for the rest of this week I think I am going to feed light then go back to the 900 ppms and you said that would be good for all the way through flower?
I have been running Recharge which is a great inoculate and honestly it might be why my plants haven't completely shut down yet.

No not really. When I ran them both I liked the bud xl better except for the price. I eventually stopped running it and really didn't notice a difference. Shooting powder I believe is just a mono potassium phosphate and you have to be careful with that because you might end up with fox tails.

They dry out faster and more evenly so blumats or a dripper system would be a really good idea for fabric pots. It's a good idea with plastic pots it will increase you yield a lot . You will get very large yields anyways but with a dripper you get hydro growth. It is not hard to get 12 oz plants and beyond in 5 gallon plastic pots on a regular basis.
How many feeding a day ?
3 decent feedings to a small runoff or you can move up to 5 feedings that are smaller. With blumats they feed continuously it feeds when the blumats senses dryness. They will leak out on you so make sure you have time to watch them a lot. Your plants will boom !! It all depends on how fast they are drying out but once they are in flower they can dry out in a couple hours. This is in average sized pots. If you go with huge pots then you will have problems . Unless you have a lot of water to run ? Coco if ran correctly can be in very undersized pots and do excellent, even better than larger pots , it equals more feedings which equals more oxygen to the roots and new feed .
Do you still grow in coco. I have heard the benefits of growing in coco like the large yields but I have also heard like you mentioned the bad taste in the final product. Can you elaborate a little more or have heard things about the poor tasting buds.
What wrong with fox tail
Nothing really, I personally don't like the look off them on buds. I feel buds are more aesthetically pleasing without foxtails.
