Clone method ?

Can i take a cutting a dip in clonex n put it in straight coco or straight pearlite or should i just buy rapid plug

The best method by far is with the Rapid Rooter plugs.

Greetings. If not using an aero cloner then I would do rapid rooters they take about 7-14 days to come through good.
Sidenote an aero cloner will have you roots in 3 days+ and saves on clonex and plugs plus time, also you can do alot more in a smaller space. Something to think about.

You can make one or buy one, they can be bought for 22$ from this link https://www.amazon.com/Viagrow-8-Site-Clone-System/dp/B00H57ANGW/ but you have to watch it for a few days as the bounce the price up and down a lot but it will bottom out at 22$.

You can't buy the parts for that price around here. I got 2 of those and the bigger 5 site ones for 28$. Black buckets around here are 15$ alone so... The pumps in them are 20$ the bucket is $15 lid $9 cups and fittings another $17 at local and order prices etc.

If you do get one use 15 mins on and 45 mins off every hour. If you run it nonstop it will heat up the water and cause the process to take 10x longer.

Yeah i got a repeat cycle timer laying around that goes 0 to 30min on / off

I use peat pellets and have had 100% success rate.

I've used true aero and EZ Cloner and they both take longer than Rapid Rooters. They also are not nearly as successful and the clones are not as hardy - that's just my experience.

Do i still gotta mist them in root plug does root plug get dry fast ?

They probably won't need it but keep an eye on them and if the leaves start to wilt then give them a little spray.

only success for cloning for me is using hydro , never had any luck in rapid rooters or soil so on , every body is different .
