Well your brain tends to see what you want to see. So that's why it's just ancedotal. Instead of a side by side you should search for the answer to the question "what happens when I starve my plant?"
Ive seen what happens to a starved plant....however, ive never seen a plant starv from skipping a weeks feeding......which is a week to flush...sooo.......i dunno.......all i can say is "we'll see"......however i will say me & a buddy grew the same cut one year....he used clearex to flush....i used tap. His finished product was way more pleasant than mine, none of us had a legit cure @ the time as we were both 2 weeks into harvest .......& i know his greenthumb aint fuckin with mine. I never advocated flushin solutions other than water. He made me a believer that day. Coincidence? Get lucky? Maybe...... But probably not.

Cigar leaf. Not cigarette tobacco. I've cut many a stick of burley. We would hang it and cure it in a barn. You did wait until it started to turn before you cut it. I got a tobacco spear in the neck drinking Little Kings and cutting tobacco.
mmmmm...Little Kings....

If this were true? Ask yourself why Tobacco growers don't flush ?

Best is try it both ways and learn for yourself. Flushing has always been a heavily debated topic here and prolly always will be

I would not smoke tobacco, with what I know. I do not want my flowers to be just like tobacco. The same is happening with cannabis in legal states, big grows using anything to try and get a little more weight, and it show in the testing of the dried plant material.

Some years ago, it was observed by a food maker in testing that people would find a difference in testing their new products. Even if the product was the same in all testing! They asked several well know Universities why this maybe happening. Several of the Universities Physc dept's took up the question.

It was found that given the task to find a difference. The brain would find one, even if none existed!

Now look at applying that finding, to how many would to smoking flushed or unflushed. Beginning to understand my point?
To even challenge that idea of a difference. It would have to be a dbl blind study. You could not know what was what and that all your question would be was "What do you think" of each one. There would have to be at least 2 of each, and you could never know which one your testing, or for what your testing it for. They would have to each be presented at least 6 times and in various orders/combinations

Finding a difference is easy - the brain is hardwired TO find one! Even if it's not there!

BTW.......In the HT cups, they have a rating for "flush" in the judging. Unflushed, but well cured has won cups! The presenters, or growers - don't tell them it's not when submitted !!

I'm not saying "your wrong" ! Only supplying you with actual science on the subject. With that in hand, you maybe able to reach a more informed understanding.

As always, please do what makes YOU happy when you grow !

WTF type of analogy is that???

We know from the get go that there is going to be change in the plants environment so making an analogy to a commodified food product is ludicrous.

"Only supplying you with actual science on the subject." No, youre not. That is no more "actual science" than this "Physc dept's " is actual spelling.

How is it not a related Test? Taste? End product taste testing would apply perfectly to this science factoid!

Are you saying that because the plant changes in differing environs will skew the test?

Like I said. It's end product taste testing! Flushed vs NOT........It's been done with tobacco products for years and it's found to be the same (Brain response to given task) No correlation there?

Im not sure about the ppm thing....i would think dechlorinated tap water would be just fine....r/o or distilled water i would assume would be optimal......but who does that outdoors? I dont.... .
Just catch some rain water, Never seen it above 8 pmm. takes the uncertainty out of it. Tap water here runs around 370 ppm. good for nothing.

The fact is it really doesn't matter if you flush or not, if you fuck up the cure your crop will be trashed.
Eons ago grew some sativa, didn't flush, it would light up like a sparkler when fired. Since have always paid attention to flush/cure, since, always smooth mild and without the fireworks.
