Tent is way too hot

Remember: temperature readings are ALWAYS taken in the shade for just that reason: light alters the real temperature based on the material it's hitting.

I got it in the shade now, meaning no "direct light". Obviously the tent reflects onto it. I'm sitting at 83.4 now. It's also further away from the light and I added a 12" oscillating fan and moved my duct fan to the opposite site of the air intake. Not really a significant difference :(

Consider this: At 37 degrees, you have water. At 32, you have a block of ice.

90 to 95 is a bit on the hot side and needs mitigation.

85 or lower, you're good to go. Worst case scenario, your leaf tips are black about 1mm in. That's about it.

Fair enough. I was just trying for optimum but I guess at one point I have to go with what I have.
So far I've learned to not buy cheap lights. These are damn near heating the whole place.

And I'm back at 90. It's getting maddening.

Something to keep in mind.

I did this same thing before I started plant. You will not get realistic readings without a plant.
The plant is absorbing some of that energy thats bouncing around.
My tent showed in the 90s.
With plant and same extact set up, 78-81.

Yup i agree, stay the fuck away from accurite.
The temp and humidity isn't entirely accurate... Put that fucker under an hid light and its gonna hit 90+

Trying something different now. Pulled in 2 6" ducts and popped them on top of the lamp where the air intakes are. This should provide cooler air from the room. If it works, I'll make a sealed box on top of it.

In theory this should make the light run cooler since it sucks in air that is 10 degrees cooler as what I gets from in the tent.

You need a stronger inline fan the filter is holding back pressure. Your tent should be sucking in negative pressure to know fan and filter are working correctly. Air works better being pulled not pushed. Peace

I suppose I could take the filter off and see if it cools it down. My fan is rated for 170 cfm and the tent is a 4x4x7ish. It "theoretically" should do :(
I suppose all that adding on lowers it quite a bit. Like I got a good 15 feet of ducting after it and a muffler, at the end of that. Which, had I know what I know now, I would never have bought.

OK, you need to modify your tent a bit. You need to build a chimney for the exhaust on the LED fixture. Cut a 6 inch hole in the roof of the tent and run flex vent tubing through it down to just about 3 inches above the exhaust fan of the LED.

Problem solved.

I don't have to cut holes. It has em already. My led panel draws air in on top like most, with 3 fans. And blowers it out on all 4 sides. I'm not sure I follow what you have in mind.
