Will 36000 btu's be enough for a 12x30 insulated shed with 4000ish watts ?

You can squeeze more in that space, surely?! I put x4 Gavita 750's in a 12 X 9ft flower room, 400w cobs in 8 x 9ft veg next door with a pair of 4ft T5's for a nursery.Texas, 1 gavita pro 1000, 2 solistek matrix running 1000w DE with kingwing reflectors and then t5s and probably 1000w on a light mover for vegg. All open hoods
no it will not be enough in the hottest daysTexas, 1 gavita pro 1000, 2 solistek matrix running 1000w DE with kingwing reflectors and then t5s and probably 1000w on a light mover for vegg. All open hoods
i try to account for alot of thatDon't blow just yet. It's rarely that simple and shouldn't put you off. Many folks aim for 4k BTU per 1k of lighting as a baseline, but even with DE you're not looking at double that.
A lot of these basic calculations assume so much along the way.
Besides, its really only a ballpark and there are other things to consider such as insulation, build quality, ventilation/circulation, available building shade (trees), and decisions such as running lights at night only etc.
I will say my Gravitas add 7-10F each to the room and thats without any girls in there, and all that needs cooling, plus the dehu adding a little.
All that being said it is better to oversize your AC than to regret it later. You don't want it chugging. If you find a solid wholesaler the price isn't completely off-putting.
rem to do a vortexOK I can drop all the double ended lights for now and run se 1000s with hortilux bulbs and bump my ac up to 46000 btu's. 28 in flower and 18 for veg.
