Venting Issues

Hi All,

Hope anyone can help.... I am at the final stages of completing my grow set up.

I have: In one room, 2x Secret Jardin DS120s and 1x Secret Jardin DS90 with each having there own 5" rhino rvk with acoustic ducting, passive intake - carbon filter and 600w hps and a 9" air moving fan inside the tent. So basically 1,800 watts in lighting and a few more watts for the fans and rvks and maybe even a heater when the temps drop in the next few months - the heater is 3kw oil filled but will only click on when the temps drop below 24 celcius and will keep this outside the tents and heat the whole room.

This is where I need advice:

I have cut a hole in the ceiling directly above each tent so I can vent the hot and moisture yukky air up through the ducting into the loft/attic

I have looked up in the loft and there is no soffit things and there is no chimney piece I can vent it to without some major disturbances with the neighbours and a real pain in the ass with getting breakers and breaking bricks out etc...

Is this fine to just vent to my attic? I am worried about 2 things

1) Moisture damaging the property and eventually leading to wood rot, mold etc....
2) Pork Choppers


The loft has insulation slabs on the flooring but other than that nothing much just a basic attic, I dont share this attic either this is just my own attic - i am a semi detached house and to be fair my neighbour attached to me is a pretty cool but quiet type polish guy.

Any advice means so much - please help me mateys.

The air that comes off of the tents is pretty dry air. You shouldnt have any moisture issues. I don't even vent out side of the room anymore. I have 2 tents with 600's in my bedroom and they just exhaust into the room. In the open grow room we run the filter exhaust into the return air duct for the central air. If ya have a way to do that you could get rid of the hot air without cutting any holes

Ive been told the air will have a humidity to it and will cause mold etc... is this not correct?

having 3x 600w venting in the attic will cause a big heat signature.

any suggestions on the best plan of action?

The reason I asked is because if you're running Hydro then you could see some added moisture from the reservoir or standing water, but no there's going to be virtually no moisture coming out of those exhausts. Before I had an open grow room as well we used to ventilate into the drop ceiling and it never hurt anything. Is this your first grow? reason I asked is because I'm only familiar with US laws. They're not allowed to radar our houses due to privacy concerns but regardless a FLIR unit can't see inside interior walls. They basically use them to find ventilation running outside where they can see the heat coming out of it, or maybe let's say you've got a couple thousand watts up against an exterior wall and its negative balls out, they may notice that one wall being warmer. As long as it's contained in your place you won't have any issues.

all homes have a strip running in the attic between the seams where the point of both sides of the roof meet. Its permeable and the air will vent through that
