You're supposed to soak them in 5.5 for 8-12 hours prior, then check pH is around 5.5, then plant. If pH isnt down to 5.5, rinse and repeat.

Sorry. Soak in water pH adjusted to 5.5 for 12 hours. No nutrient.

Then it should be ready to go. Don't squeeze it out or anything, just shake the excess water off and plant your seed.

I agree with this, but the best results I've had personally have been when I soak mine overnight in water anywhere between 4.5 and 5.5 pH, then I move them to soak in a 5.5-6.0 pH 200ppm nutrient solution for an hour or so, then I shake out the excess and drop the bean in, run my finger over it to cover it lightly on top and keep it warm for a few days. Detail detail detail.

I use peat pellets and warm tap water when running soil. I prefer simplicity over all.

Seeds do not need nutes! They store enough energy to take care of themselves for the first week or so. Then start very lightly with bloom nutes. Once you have a root system start your regular feeding at 1/4 strength.

Sorry but running a hydro grow without the proper tools is like driving blind. You have to know what your ph is, you have to know what your ppms are. Water temps, humidity it all has to be monitored. Believe me I tried it without. After the disaster my readings were ph 8.1.. ppm 1890. Thought I was doing good. First hydro grow..
