I know "lied to and practically kidnapped" is not the same as "kidnapped," but paying the downtrodden doesn't make lesser exploitation any more okay. Not saying you think that, just pointing out that paying someone a relatively high wage is not an excuse for mistreating them.In fairness, I read a lot of the girls in Dubai are highly paid sex workers. I mean they were lied to and practically kidnapped, but at least they are paid.
On-topic justification for the social justice tangent: the competition to Cree chips that the Citi's are providing now (not forgetting Vero) is really intriguing. I can't help but wonder how much more efficient they can get in the near future, or whether five years from now we'll still be loving the chips we buy today.
