dwc hydro / soil: side by side

Another thing to bring up... Most people who run DWC or some variant will eventually stop using meters to check pH and ppm. I don't check ppm or pH anymore since I know that it comes out the same ppm and pH every time. Once in a while I will check the pH to make sure the tap hasn't changed on me.
So true. I've only been doing it for 4-5 weeks and I don't check it after its set. That's why I'm loving it :)

OK so it's generally accepted that DWC produces better results AND is easier to control than soil.

It is more costly to set up initially, however the difference will be off set with multiple runs; not to mention higher yields = more returns.

BOTTOM LINE, If you want large yields and an easy grow do DWC.

*I wish I knew this earlier n never wasted my time using soil inside.

Gross!! You eat soil??
Only the runs with the worms IN the pots! Mmmmm, kinda garlicy..

I didn't say anything about dwc. I said I'm running a rdwc and it is much easier than soil. As churchhaze said the soil issue is a big one for me as when I grow in soil I use 35l pots and in flower they would want a drink twice a week. That's alot of water carting for me. Then I have to get rid of the soil at the end, I could reuse it, but I'm not that Jew.

Now I can just fill up a tank, mix up and the water pump distributes it all.

Every soil grow I've done there has always been little issues with deficiencies etc that need correcting. Fucking gants and so on. Have not had that issue with hydro, you can read and fix plants much quickly.

I have a rule to help me not fuck up my nute mixtures as this I think is where the problems come from and its - no getting pissed before mixing haha
RDWC is the way to go for hydro. Have you ran an ebb system? How much less nutrient are you using at a time in the RDWC then other styles of hydro Paulie?

And there's the rub, soil to some is a bitch. I never liked the daily metering and the attention to details in hydro. I have so little problem with soil. Always been that way. I prefer it and others prefer Hydro!

All's well that ends well! So, like I said earlier. Please, do what works best for YOU!

DWC will be faster then soil (All hydro is). It does produce heavy yields for those not schooled in soil! Non recirculating NEEDS to be pH'ed everyday and ALL styles of hydro SHOULD be! If you can not keep res temps BELOW 70F, then hydro is not a good choice for you! Things can go bad fast with high res temps. Even short periods of them! In RDWC it could mean you loose a whole crop. There are no difference's in bug problems - to me! (I don't really get gnat problems much and Paulie. You can still get them in hydro too, ya know!)

We could debate this for age's!
It all comes down to personal preference!

Bottom line - soil is more forging to learn in! You should at least know how to grow a basic tropical house plant before you "blindly" start growing MM!

Both of you are full of it.

DWC yes when set up properly and dialed in can be left alone for a longer time then soil but you still have to consider nutrients, water ph, setting your DWC system up in the first place, and no doubt the equipment for it would cost more than a bag of soil and a pot.

An organic soil grow is as simple as put soil in pot and water when dry.

I don't even understand how you could begin to suggest it's easier in a broad sense. Easier if you like a bit of automation to your grow but certainly not easier for the new comer. Even @kiwipaulie here admits that when a DWC goes bad it goes bad. Soil is more forgiving so wouldn't it be safe to assume it's easier?
So now a grow is measured by how easy it is to water? Lol! there is so much more that goes into it than simply "ease of watering" I still find it amusing when people try to argue how much "better" "easier" soil is. This logic only applies to small plant numbers and short term grow cycles. When trying to setup a perpetual indoor high yielding efficient garden your logic is completely useless.

If you only knew how right you are... The dude is a total newb and grows in a 2x2 tent.

I'm not saying which is easier. What I mean is that when you compare the initial set up of an organic soil grow vs a hydro grow from my point of view an organic soil grow would be more simple and is that is why a lot of people begin with soil. All else aside there are less steps involved in setting up soil and maintaining it so I assert it is more simple.

You're right too, this logic might not apply to certain grow styles and that is correct too. It doesn't make my point moot because in a specific instance it may not be true, that could be true of any idea ever.

I've talked shit once...to you. And your panties have been in a wad about it ever since. You can check this thread I haven't talked shit to anyone I've been cordial or at least plain and straight.

Besides that how are things going Gary?

I run soilless hydro and I'll shit on dwc and so will partner. Soil-less is best way period think my partner gave up his 56 site h2o current culture system because we pull less with soil-less lol and cheaper not nearly the hassle

I thought DWC and Soil-less Hydro are the same thing? They both are terms for hydroponic grows or am I wrong?

Edit: Didn't think of Coco = soil-less hydro so yes I'm wrong and feel stupid for even asking.

Lol that's only way I know how to differ them is by saying soil-less for coco and dwc or slabs or aero or whatever else lol

Nope, I contribute when needed. It's just when I see fakers like you and that other dude I have to let RIU know.

Maybe putting fakers on blast IS my contribution??

Nah bro what looks stupid is someone that can understand how other growers don't flush. You don't know enough about growing to see that it's because you over feed with super high ppm's. Feed less and you won't have to flush..

How's that for advice? It doesn't matter that I just told you how to fix your problem, you aren't trying to hear advice. You're want to argue because I fronted you out as a suck grower.

some times it helps half the time .
Btw this is an unedited quote from you... lol you really shouldn't be calling anyone stupid
