how long should i veg for?

i found 16 more seeds and should plant them but idk how old they are does that matter? seeds do die too right? and what is the best way to germinate them (link would be fine or peoples opinion would be better) (i like to hear peoples experiences and opinions)

An easy way to tell if your seeds are bad is to lightly press them against a hard surface. If they crack they are bad and would not have germinated, if they don't crack they are probably good.

i did mine in a bowl and cotton wool with a heat mat under the bowl. damp cotton wool not wet.put clear plastic over top and put in dark place

when i did the plants i have now i put them in a big carbboard cup like from barbacoa (or some food place) and i let them chill in there for a bit and they started germinating and i was so happy and planted them 6 sprouts 2 remain 3 were males and 1 of my ladies died (just a few days ago it was sad)

Don't think it really matters. Once you get the alternating nodes she should be showing preflowers...if not sooner.

Also, does a plant have to be mature before I send it into flowering? If My grow sapce is limited to 2.5 feet and my plant is already 16 inches tall but is not mature (The brances are still growing parallel) can or should I start flowering so my plant doesn't get too tall?

thanks (if that was directed to me) lol they have grown though and now under 12/12 (just did it) and on is 1 ft (almost exact) my other plant is just above 1 ft

they seem to be doing good but the stems on the main leaves are turning a redish purple idk and if my camera wasn't such a p.o.s. then i would take a pic and help a bit more but it sucks and doesn't get that good of detail but if anyone knows what's up with it help would be GREATLY appreciated

yo guys my tall plant is 2 feet tall now =]]]] and my shawty is 17 in. i'm excited cuz it's starting to stink now =]]] they are doing good check the journal if wanted
