I have seen some in my neighborhood and they honestly don't seem to illuminate as large of an area as the HPS, but the light that is present is very concentrated on the small area of coverage under the lights. They were very blue as well and almost hurt your eyes to look up at. Im all for LED, but I dont think I'd want them in front of my house over using HPS.

They fitted them at a small roundabout up the road from me recently.
First time I saw them lit up i was driving up to roundabout and I had to slow right as i thought there was car approaching junction with its full beam on!

I think I read an article a while ago about residents complaining about their streetlights when the changed them from hps to leds

I believe you have cancer if you say you do . but how would the doctors link lighting to your cancer ? there are millions of people under these hps lighting from construction workers to base ball games to grow rooms to fishing boats .

Everybody knows HID lighting in close proximity (grow room) can give you cancer. Just like the sun
Gotta protect yourself if your working directly beneath a lamp for an extended period of time
