photo's and auto's in the same tent?

What I think you'll find is the ones in less light stretch more looking for light.
The ones in more light make more bud weight if you harvest at the same time.

It may be the 24 hour finishes faster than a 12/12 as well.

Need 2 at 24 if you are going to be fair about it.

Make sure to record plant sizes/height as well throughout grow.

How many phenos in the strain that can happen.

I think 2 at 24/0 and 3 at 12/12 would show something.

More light equal more use of nutrients etc...

What I have found is they do not like straight 24/7 strong ( 70k+ lux ) light because that's not what they get.

But yeah it'll be interesting to see this strain and what is has in it when you grow it out.
I'm thinking you're right on the money
I don't have to think about it. I'm simply repeating an experiment I've already done. I know the answer and this time with seeds given to me TO do this, by the dealer (that's right - I get 5 beans, that's it - 5! I don't give a shit how you think I should do it or what you think is fair. If you don't like it - How about you go buy some and do it yourself. I want more grown on the less side then 24/0 side..24/0= control and the others are the samplers, group A, plants 1 and 2. Group B, plants 1 and 2 {This is party of why I didn't want to get involved. Don't matter what I prove, somebodies going to whine about how I did it and they would do it differently}). So then with 5 beans, It'll break down to what I have available to utilize. In just how I use them....

The whole thing is going to be done in water only organic soil I build. All from a single batch and very, very uniform!

MJ will increase in yield the more light it can get in bloom. Done experimenting with that too. The more light over 12/12 you increase. The more stress and slower the plant blooms. SOME indica strains (photo's) will begin to bloom at about 14/10 - 13.75/10.25 but they tend to show a slow and weak bloom. Tried the 730nm light band trick to put a plant to "sleep" so you could run the lights another 2 hrs. Guess what? The increase was so small that the cost to do it, was more then the increase in yield could pay for! ! ! !

This is EXACTLY the same for AUTO plants! THIS is what I'm telling you guys here!
This is not a "strain" thing!
There is NO new ability to grow more (yield) because you can bloom in longer lighting hrs!
This is an "Auto"thing!
The side by side I'm going to do -
It's to get you guys to understand that your "Logic" conclusion of higher yields from all 24/0, 18/5, 14/10 over the "normal" accepted 12/12 are going to be minor and that your simply wasting money doing it!

BEEN THERE,DONE THAT! Now it's show you time!

I simply want to show the actual results of this to all you Auto growers. Personally, I have NO USE FOR THEM! They're nice to have for some of you with needs to fill in your limitations....

Look to the vault's comparative skywalker OG grow thread.....for when I begin to post. I'll post from popping to harvest. We'll weigh in at dry and I'll then cure it....

Thats like saying a photo wont lose yeild if you put them under 6/18...instead of 12/12... an auto needs the light... i agree that 24hr is a waste... but so is 12/12 for an auto IMO.
It's NOT like that at all!
You DON'T UNDERSTAND just "WHAT" and "AUTO" is!!!!!!! :wall::wall::wall:

READ THIS AGAIN - As a plant, it's still the same as a photo in all respects, except the plant will flower on it's own. It does not use circadian rhythm by light to start to flower.....Just because it "can" sit under longer lighting then photo's. DOES NOT mean it can use that light any better then a photo!

Sometimes it's just useless to give people the truth. Too many of you lack the ability to understand it!

Remember they use more fuel if they have more light.

So do humans when they remain "active"..To plants, light time is "active time"...So what?
Look I have researched a lot about this one thing here today and people growing.......So what ever you come up with is how you grow it. There are side by side tests that have already been done and have results.

I don't even know why I care!
To me, Auto's are useless!
Just thought I would do this for fun....Got asked by Jack if I would do a run. He wanted some experience alongside all the newbies and figured I could show that running at extended lighting time on them was not worth the money spent to do it - over "normal/accepted" Photo bloom lighting times...This would settle the ongoing nonsense of running auto's at 18/6 and higher!

I get X amount of seeds to work with......Now I wish I had just said NO.....That's space for 5 way better quality plants!

Lmao naw man... ur contradicting your self in your own statments. With your little expierament y arnt your running any autos at 12/12? Because its a "waist of money doing it"?

I find this funny because u made this a pissing contest on yourself. You sound like a toddler having a Temper tantrum.

I also never said an auto needed to flip to 12/12 to start flowering... so...

I was only speculating as I don't have any actual experience myself. I'm gonna just grow it along side my photos under the same light schedule and see how she does.

Contradicting what? You don't get it, hell you can't even use English, much less spell it.

Because I choose not to. Don't like it - You make up separate area's in your space to run 3-4 different lighting times so you can do it your way.

So what type of grow lights? each plant get their own light?
1K's - they'll veg under T5's

How about you "experts" show me what you have?

Uber, you list nothing of your "research".....Show us, I honestly would like to see it!

Hmm, 12/12 eh? why not......24/0 - 18/6 and 12/12 it is....easy to do 3 area's...4 is more of a pain.

Bottom line is Auto's do not need more light.
They work the same as photo's other then they bloom without lighting change.
Any difference in yield by running 24/0 or 18/6 is not worth the cost of doing so!

You probably won't even notice the difference in 18 to 24.....that can be skewed by environment, pheno types, and genetics.

12/12 vs 24/0 that would give you something, but you have too little plants do really do it right.

How many different pheno's does this experimental strain have??

Research? LOL, I looked mine up and I will use yours too when you are done.

You know what I think about what you will find and it's based off of reading "experiments"

Oh I almost signed up for a test on this forum with some auto's probably the same breeders.

But I am running 12/12's over the winter and do not have time for some guys test plants.

SO please continue I am all ears. :peace: you test for me ;)

Thanks Uber! I needed some positive....I see we do agree on the results - so far....24-18 will be meaningless. The 12/12, well lets save the opinion and go right to the results, as they come in.
