This is what I did for a 4×4. ten cxb3590 3500k , 2 HLG -240-1400ma. that is a 4×4 in the pic and it's almost the same size. now you don't have to go that far but if you want the most out of your grow this is what I recommend. but you can go as low as 6 cobbs and that will work to ,but I wouldn't go any less than 6 and if I were to do six than I would most likely bump up to 1600ma.

What would it take to build a light to the same specification that you have pictured

I understand quality cost money just very confusing it's nice for relying upon other people's research and development to Gide others in making their decision

Thanks for your time and reply

Well it's a lot of work and money. Do you want to build the light or do you want me to do it with a full warranty. We can build you a light to fit your budget. I believe in quality because you get what you pay for these days. But I know all the different wholesalers personally and can get you whatever you want but I believe in Cree and meanwell . Do you want efficiency and super coverage which is a bigger upfront cost but works better and last longer or less efficiency and what you can use as a minimum lighting to cover a 4×4 area. I've been a self employed heating and air conditioning contractor so I can do whatever you need.

What I mean when I say that about being in business is that I've been in business for 20 years and understand people's needs and budget concepts . It's very hard to just say well build a light like mine and it cost 750 to build. That really doesn't help you because every application is different and every one is different. I don't want you to spenda bunch of money and have issues with the light because that makes me look bad and you upset. IF you want to hit me up so I can get a feal on what it is that you need and how far your abilities are to do it then take it from there because that light can be made a dozen ways and my goal is to make sure that you are happy with the end product and comfortable with what you spend to do it.

the small ones do. the 111, but the 140mm are good.
The small ones are fine to about 40w and the larger 140mm are fine to 75w.jer bob has bigger ones to like 163mm should be good to 80 to 90w without fans.if you push a 120mm heatsink to 50w it gets hot,but still within specs for cree anyways.

yup I'm running my ten 111mm at 50 watts and they are borderline Temps. So I am adding 100mm fans to the tops only because I want them to run cool not because I have to. I have all 140 mm left and am going to stick with those.
