and some of us have worked for years to keep old school highs alive breeding for rare traits and I have never made a fem'd seed because I disagree with the whole premise
And that reminds me... I need to get your romulan strain you offered a while back. The beans I was sold by some chucker probably doesn't seem to be close, even.

I honestly don't mind paying the price if it quality, I normally get enough from one pack to cover the cost lol. The last plants produced well over 100 plants from start to finish and at $180 it was well worth it :). Not to say I like to pay as little as possible for quality :).
If you sell them yes ,but not me I grow for myself and to smoke with my friends , it's true when I was selling ,I wasn't complaining too about price but i just want to Stay out of trouble for my career, so no more selling for me

4 actually ,spanish ,french, créole and english and started learning portugese
Kudos!

I respect the effort it takes to learn even one new language. If you put that same type of effort to growing i can only imagine the fire you can conjure...

Here's some more:

Serious seeds prices doubled, fem availability doubled, regs stayed the same.

Paradise seeds, prices doubled, fem selection out numbers regs by 3 to 1, when it used be the opposite 1.5 years ago.

Dutch passion... all prices up by almost double. reg seeds - 15 strains; fem seeds - over 45 strains. last year that was the reverse.

BC Bud depot ... all prices up 50% or so. 50 plus fem strains, they don't even list reg seeds as a category on the site because they are so few strains available, if any.

Emery Seeds... same shit...

I can go on and on and I haven't started with the Spanish sites yet.

Dig in and discover the truth.
Well I'm not going to search all of them but can you show me where serious seeds doubled, and can you show me where BC BUD has went up in the last three years. I have been buying White Russian for years and unless I'm mistaken no change and the god bud I bought two years ago is the same, also in a side note the femmed WR was the one not available for a bit. Pricing was not what started this though it was your contention that femmed seeds herm more which you have not proven.

I don't sell anymore (well much) but that doesn't really matter as again I've got my money's worth many times over by not buying for the three extra generations of plants (4 total) from 6 seeds. Again I'd pay less if I was garaunteed the same quality, I am a cheap MFer :).

Let me clarify that I am not saying femmed seeds are better but not saying they are worse either, I don't know. For breeding I have heard regs are better and more stable but have not really seen that either as my femmed seeds do produce clones that are very stable generation after generation.

Because I know what monsanto plans to do to em, that and the whole black market thing
so I am gathering heirloom genetics, others should as well
Well that doesn't tell me anything lol. What does Monsanto want to do, round up ready pot seeds? And what about the black market? What's that have to do with femmed seeds? Please elaborate?

I said earlier i this thread...Monsanto has cornered the grain seed market. You want grain seed you have to buy it from monsanto or one of its hundreds of subsiduary companies. Every year. Farmers have been crying about this for two decades. Nobody listens. Now they are completely fucked.

There is a seed bank in Norway or Sweden that has been collecting seeds of every kind from all over the planet to protect against this kind of thing happening again. But it may be too late.

The same thing is happening with pot seeds. Fem seeds play right into the business model.

Okay... serious seeds white russian ( my fave) 70 euro for 11 seeds. Last time i bought them from serious they were 50 euro for 10 seed. Not quite double but close.

Same site ak47 my other fave used to be 10 seed for 40 euro. Now they are 11 for 80. Double. Same for almost all their strains.

I can go on a day... but i wont. You can dig yourself. You will soon see...

Crossing a strain and feming seeds is enough to make their genetics "intellectual property" and they become patentable. Once you have a patent on it nobody can sell/grow your seeds without payment. Monsanto did this to grain. Go ahead and try to buy reg seeds of any grain on this continent. The kind of seed that will produce more seed at harvest. Go ahead...try..

Make em so they won't pollinate or clone and sue folks that have genetics they patent

the whole males are bad thing
Ya well as much as I think their a bunch of bastards (sueing farmers) I doubt that will drive out other breeders but I've been wrong before . As for the male thing, I've heard this argument for a long time re Fems taking over the world, I'm not concerned but maybe I should be. I actually think it's the big breeders that are a cause for concern, fems or not, just throwing pollen and girls together to come up with a fancy name for a mediocre plant to sell to the masses. And yes you've done some fine work :). It's hard to run reg seeds in my setup now but think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet to get something I'm happy with. That's all I want :). FYI let me know if ever you get your seeds out internationally ;). Are they actually available in a store front in CO?

Marijuana Growers: Hang onto your pot, here come the genetically modified genes!

It is painfully obvious that mad scientists have gone wild and are in charge of our health and food supply. And now, they want to grab hold of Mary Jane, Weed, Cannabis, Pot, Marijuana, or whatever else you want to call it.

Yeah, we know it has medicinal properties, and so do they. That is one of the reasons it has remained illegal for so long. Someone growing a plant in their backyard and foregoing over-the-counter pain medication, or making a tincture that helps fight cancer just might cut into Big Pharma profits, and we can’t have that. At least not until it can be strictly controlled by the very drug companies that specialize in delivering, for a hefty price, a barrage of drugs designed to, at the very least, incapacitate, and not actually cure anything.

So, here it is. The start of something big. Marijuana gone GMO:

"Greenhouses lined with genetically modified marijuana sit on a mountainside just an hour ride from Cali, Colombia, where farmers say the enhanced plants are more powerful and profitable.

One greenhouse owner said she can sell the modified marijuana for 100,000 pesos ($54) per kilo (2.2 pounds), which is nearly 10 times more than the price she can get for ordinary marijuana.

Local authorities said the arrival of genetically modified seeds, which are imported from Europe and the United States have allowed “a bigger production and better quality at the same time”.

A police commander in the Cauca region where Cali is located, Carlos Rodriguez, said one of the modified varieties goes by the name, “Creepy”.

Another seed modified in The Netherlands is fetching a good price in the area, said a foreign researcher, who asked to remain anonymous. That version, well-known in Europe as “La Cominera”, is named for the Colombian village where it grows.

“La Cominera’s” higher value is due to its increased concentration of THC, the plant’s principal active ingredient, and the modified plant verges on an 18 percent concentration level, compared to a normal marijuana plant’s two to seven percent, said the researcher."

Coincidence that this is going on just as Big Pharma is busy patenting a Marijuana pill? Notice that the genetically modified seeds are imported from Europe, the Netherlands and the United States.

Despite the US government’s staunch opposition to medical cannabis farms in Oakland and elsewhere, the feds have begun licensing a whole lot of large legal pot grows throughout the country. But this weed is not for cannabis dispensaries and their patients; it’s for Big Pharma.

.

The Drug Enforcement Administration told Legalization Nation in an e-mail last week that 55 unnamed companies now hold licenses to grow cannabis in the United States, a fact that contradicts the widespread belief that there is only one legal pot farm in America, operated under the DEA for research purposes. It appears as if the upswing in federally approved pot farming is about feeding the need of pharmaceutical companies who want to produce a generic version of THC pill Marinol and at least one other cannabis-based pill for a wide variety of new uses.

I know exactly what they did and there are lots of non round up ready grains, maybe not so much with soy lol, and why you ask? Because it produces more, farmers like that btw. Again I think their bastards but not because they developed new strains.
