Looking for some help with lighting

Hey so it's been 3 years since my last grow and I've decided to buy new equipment and start up again. Problem is, I sold everything I had so I literally need everything.


So my question is, are leds yet at the point where they are worth buying for someone growing on a budget? Id normally run a single 1000watt hps for a 4x4 area, so Id need something that performs as well.


Are there any leds I can get that will perform as good as a 1000watt hps that costs under $500?

Cob's 500 for a4x4 there are about five companies in this site that either sell premade rigs or diy parts and kits...

Cool thanks, on that tasty led site, what would recommend for a 4x4 tent? Also can I use the same light for veg and flower or are there different spectrums?

You use the same leds for veg & flower.. diy and save some $...
