Hello. Here is my Grand Daddy Purple autoflower.
She is 2 weeks old today.
I have her in a plastic dollar store waste basket with fox farm ocean forest soil.
I been giving her just water, since the soil should have enough food for a few weeks.
I have her just under 2 cfl 6500k bulbs that are 26w.
I have a 150w hps I plan on using alittle later.
How is she looking for 2 weeks old?

I'd get the hps on her now!

Not against CFL's just 2 x 26w really isn't a lot and is only falling into the blue spectrum .

Get the 150 on her and use the CFL as side lighting , your plants only going to be alive 70-100 days , make them count

its such a huge plant i just cant see it being a auto flower if it is it has at least 75% of another strain

i have been growing gdp for about 4 years i just no how big she can get i am just thinking how did they get that strain to auto its just got me fucked

I was under the impression any strain could be an auto if crossed with ruderails?
I know obviously it's a little more complex then that but I would assume it could auto the same as any other strain with right breeding?

That's the impression I was under, I know some genetics don't mix well so maybe that's why

Could possibly be , but I believe by an experienced breeder it could be done . I've read of people breeding multiple times to get of rid of bad traits and balance out the genetics .

Or each strain has different phenos (tall,short,thin,bushy)
Could have started breeding with a shorter variety of GDP?

Sure some one here could explain the technicalities a LOT better then me lol

I would advise it , its only going to benefit from more light and a wider spectrum ..
Do more good then could do harm

i have a ruidrails strain here that i have crossed and she dont auto on me it has really got me fucked how they could auto a gdp

i no there are seeds for it but i just don't think she would be a pure strain thats all maybe 10-8% gdp idk mabye we need a breeder on here that does autos to explain as i breed normal seeds always have tryed for autos just to see if i can do it

man i do horticulture at uni just cause you are forcing one pheno into another does not mean it picks up its trats i understand pheno 1 to pheno 2 auto but i can not get past pheno2 auto and once breed with and pheno auto will give me the first genetic strain its got me fucked that fucked we are doing a experiment with strawberrys as we would love to use the canna strain but its still ilegal here but strawberries are the next pheno to canna my lectura was saying

think we need a auto breeder casue breeding regs and fems are easy auto,s got me fucked i have done it once but that was only with a strain from the high lands of china called the yunnan strain she would get to a point of 31-41 days in veg and start to flower but you would need to switch to 12/12 as she would hermi if u did not
