What is your "go to" when fishing for salmon?

Yep exactly. I fished freeport this morning. Ive been fishing that area since i was a kid. I may do the guide boat thing one day. Sturgeon (and stripers) fishing hasnt been the same in the area since the recession. When the dfg budget got cut they stopped looking for poachers as much and then people started poaching in teams at certain spots they used to patrol.

If I still had my old boat in a slip at vierras I'd put you on a sturgeon bro. That's all I did for years. I know exactly where they're at right now. Pitsburg/antioch up through the power lines. They'll be up by you in big numbers in no time, especially with this rain;-)

Thatd be cool. I could find more sturgeon if i went out in the boat more often. I need to get a truck; i have a 14ft'er. If your ever in the area pm me i may beable to borrow a truck from someone.

Crappie arent trophy fish; but they sure are fun with light tackle. I havent been crappie fishing in a couple years now. My father in law and i would kill it in the ca delta durring summer time, we would catch dozens of fat hand sized ones.

I think Natural Rights are better than Civil rights, granted by Government. I don't condone legislated morality of Dems when they forced segregation or Pubs when the forced desegregation. Obviously you have a one track mind on only the race part of the civil rights act but the other 5 or 6 parts are forced morality as well. So are cannabis raids and illegal abortions.

Haven't fished near there in years, my dad used to be a partner in making fishing lures, and we sold a BUNCH to the guys near the delta
I grew up in Turlock and modesto area so fishing is ALL we could do to stay out of trouble (didn't work though)
My dad knew a bunch of farmers in the foothills and their irrigation ponds were LOADED with largemouths
haven't been freshwater fishing in days, nothing good near here..
BUT
The bite out here in the ocean is crawling with halibut, fat beauties too!
and ling cod too
both my favorite ocean fish

I went ocean fishing once. All i caught was ocean.
