Hey guys I'm new to this forum but I've been reading and following a lot of stuff for the past few months now and finally I have decided to do this.
Yesterday my seeds came in (10 Super Silver Haze + 5 Mazar x Afghan).. I just bought some of my hydroponic supplies but before that I needed help with my 4 bucket system. I was wondering if it was possible to do the following.. take a look at the picture.. I'm not sure but that system does not look 100% correct.. I think i need to run an airhose through another T line connecting the T line coming OUT from the pump to a 30 gallon Res.. Would that make sense?

For dwc put ome wholes in a rubbermaid bin and some net pots. The drop in ur airstones. Its beyond simple. For the other, ebb and flo, gotta flood those plants on a timer few times a day for as long as it takes to fill the pots. You'l need more complicated setup than ur drawing, like a tray for plants to sit on. Not big deal. U can get help hear. Playing with a DWC tho will help u learn a lot! I did, this my firs grow and now in my head aerogardens DIY style and huge spin. Try DWC first, i suggest, but its ur call, i m sure u know what ur up to:)

:weed:hers a pic of dwc. U can build this for like 10 dollars. I suggets yu do but make the pots farther apart. Thsi to close for 4 plants i fnd. Net pots are on ebay a dime a dozen literally. Then u got airpump, airstone, and nutrients. I transpalnted form dirt to hydro then cloned my female for my first grow. I dont use rockwool yet tho i plan too. Got sseeds coming. Flood and drain is more complicated but barely. Liek dwc only water pump pumps the water and nutrients into bucketts on top of the dwc which is now a reservoir and fills them then stops and the water drains back into reservoir. It does a few times a day. Faster growth than dwc as plant get more oxygen to roots. Ur call:fire:

i saw that before, i was actually going to buy it until i read some more and heard that its better to have independent buckets for each plant rather than growing 4 in 1 big one. Hence.. I switched up my model to 4 buckets hooked up to a pump. So you are saying I do NOT need a res? I have the buckets.. inside the 4 airstones.. which are piped out through the bucket hooked up to T valves which lead to the air pump.. is that ALL I need? Because ppl keep on saying diff things and I'm getting confused now

there is no need for a res. in a dwc system the bucket is its own res.
what you have in its simplest terms is 4 independant DWC buckets that happen to share a single pump .
take the bucket install the airstone cut a hole in the lid to fit your net pot and fill to appropriate nutrient level . done .... no need for a separate res

how does the water drain. Lol, i confused. Do you pipe it back? The water cant sit in the buckets, itll have to drain or keep pumping somehow liek NFT nutrient film technique/ Do yu have a water pump? Lets start there.
