MidWeekSong.... retracted review and poor germination rate...

Greetings fellow growers.

I am sad to write this.

I bought from @Midweek Song ( a RIU advertiser) just to see if they were good or not. I usually use Attitude without issues.

I wrote a preliminary review that was good...UNTIL this happened.

My main order was
5x GDP
2 x Pruple Dream as thats all they had
2 x Golden Cobra by Moxie
a few freebies

Safe to say this is the worst germination I have ever experienced.

All 5 freebies did not germinate at all.
5 x GDP started to germinate then stopped which isnt normal.
Purple dream just didnt germinate at all.
2 Golden Cobra germinated, however they refuse to grow which is very odd.


My germination method is simple and ALWAYS effective.
Scuff the seed very carefully.
Humidity dome and heat mat.
24 hours in a cup of water then paper towels, 100% success in 4-5 days then into peat pellets then after roots are showing into Coco Coir.

In addition I got the Blackest darkest seeds I have seen in a long time.

So either I just somehow got the worst batch of seeds they had (oldest) or ever worse.. they were all the same seeds...
I have contacted @Midweek Song already to polity ask for a reshipment with not black seeds of the same strains and how this is very alarming.

For reference I have popped GDP from Attitude this past year with perfect results.
So its not me its the seeds and seedbank.
I will update this thread on what happens.
I am legal grower here in Canada and this is unacceptable germination rate for anyone.

Hopefully this gets resolved as this is very aggravating to say the least.

My MWS order of kali mist was perfect but my freebies were all dude so far.
Good to hear. I just find it odd that ALL of them did not germinate and the 2 that did stopped growing and died..
Its not normal at all, I have sprouted tons of seeds, this is the first time this has happened.
My environment is the same as it always has been. They may have just send me there old seed stock, which isnt cool at all.
I will forgive them if they send me a reshipment, otherwise ill be forced to leave this up and change me review to negative and keep buying from the Tude.

I wound not have made a a post if only a few did not germ, that happenes every now and again, but this is just absurd.
I did not pay for seeds to not have them germ.
Thats what I get for trying a new seedbank.

Sounds like your germinations methods are bad. Bet you fried them with that heating mat.

They never sit directly on the mat obviously.
( its for ambiet heat)
Like I said I have been using this method for a very long time without issues.

I send them emails both here on RIU and email, they got back to me 24 hours ago, but nothing today.
Quite pissed to be honest, I have used many seedbanks over the years with this same germ method.
Always 99% ( have had a few not germ , but that will happen). This is just absurd.

Has nothing to do with MWS. I use them exclusively and never have a single issue. Your seeds might just be really fresh and not fully dry yet. Keep germinating them for a little while longer.

Could be, never had this issue.
Will check back in 7 days and update.
Just odd as never had an issue before.
Will keep this updated, at this point I dont see them germing from past experiance.
We will see..

I know this as I get a read receipt on emails and they are reading them (Lewis).
So it seems Lewis has no care in his customers or fixing a very odd problem.
I am a business owner myself and this is not how anyone should do business.
I regret paying via BitCoin and regret ever using MWS.
I will reorder from Attitide and my seeds will be fine. Just aggravates me that it has come to this or that this even happened.
For reference my germination method has been the same for a very very long time. Never an issue, so its the seeds...
Really horrible experience.

Dude. You're being a dick.

1. They legally cannot discuss germination with you. They would get fucked up by the UK government.

2. It has nothing to do with MWS if they don't germinate, it has to do with the seed and the breeder.

Like I said, the seeds are probably just fresh.

They talk about it here all the time....
Im not being a dick, I am a concerned customer.
Im well aware that the breeder is at fault however the sold me the seeds. I dont expect a refund or reship at this point.
What i am saying is they are intentionally avoiding me.
It does not matter at this point.

A simple response would have been nice either here or email.
I have never had seeds take thing long.

Like I said I will waitit 6 more days and if nothing I will conclude this.
Regardless this is bad business not responding to cusomter complaints.

We do not like to answer complaints on here as it can get quite messy as it has above. We obviously have the answer to our email reading through the comments above and totally disagree with you that ALL 13 seeds could have gone wrong. Impossible to be our fault im afraid. They were from 4 different breeders including Grand Daddy Purple who we NEVER have a problem with. We, unfortunately, are unwilling to send replacements out on this occasion as they will be from the same batch, same breeder, same stockist, so cannot see how that will resolve anything so what I will do is send you a full refund in cash to your address.

Like I said I have NEVER had this issue ever.
I popped seed last week same method.

I would appreciate a reshipment of this order in good faith.
I have no intentions to defraud anyone, only to grow. I cannot do this with bad seeds.

I hope we can figure this out. I will email you from a different email because maybes its myside thats not working.

Like I said I have no intention of hurting your business, I just seem to have gotten bad seeds.
I would hope you would honor what I am saying and send me a reshipment in good faith to show myself and this community your dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.

I suppose this can happen to any company...

I used Seedsman once, 20 seeds all failed to sprout! I contacted them and they sent me replacement 20 seeds that all sprouted fine....


maybe during transport something happened that killed them??

I dont know...
Thats what I am saying, something i just off with these seeds.
A reshipment in good faith would be very appriciative as I still have to buy new seeds.

I have sent you an email from my alt email.
Please respond, I would appriciate a reshipmet of my order.
It may have been shipping or really old seeds. I cannot say for sure. What I can say is that all the seeds were duds...
Its sad, but true.
Not here to defraud you or your company. I am grower, and without new genetics I cannot grow.
I hope we can get past this and if so I will gladly change my review back to positive and do a full grow report on these seeds like I intended.
