Too bad for MiniHarper it turns out her politically-embarrassing (yet still quite valid) pro-cannabic stand became a major (but short-lived) nuisance not long before elections day (and Trudeau was very well aware where she came from!):

A study published earlier this year by the government-funded National Institute of Health, as well as the International Journal of Drug Policy, found that ”there was no significant difference between the health of the children living in cannabis grow operations and the comparison group of children”.
These findings, according to researchers, “challenge contemporary child welfare approaches and have implications for both child protection social workers and the policymakers who develop frameworks for practice.”
Under current law, children are constantly taken away from their parents for growing cannabis – even if the parents are qualified patients under state law – something that this study shows makes little sense, given that a child’s health is unaffected; however, no one can legitimately argue that it doesn’t harm a child’s health and well-being to be unexpectedly removed (sometimes for years, or even permanently) from their parents.
Here’s the method that researchers used to come to their conclusion:
The study examined the household, family and individual characteristics of 181 children found living in cannabis grow operations in two regions in British Columbia, Canada. Data was collected on-site on the physical characteristics of the homes, the health characteristics of the children, and their prescription drug history. Comparison of prescription drug use was also made with a group of children from the same geographic areas.
The study was conducted by researchers at the School of Social Work at the University of British Columbia.

Values? As those shared after refering to a legitimate scientific study published in Nature?... Doesn't that sound like double-standards somehow, depending on who picks them?!... Which by the way reminds me i forgot to emphasize the simple fact that Didier Jutras-Aswald (invited to the recent "scientific" Montréal gathering) was actually sponsored by Pfizer in 2013 to synthesize a study on his own set of chosen studies: e.g. a study on studies!...
Going back in time i still find it was pure bigot provocation to name Marc Garneau as Transport minister knowing about his authentic scientific background (he went to space - and came back), euh... Or maybe the Liberals couldn't take the slightest (mediatic) chances with him eventually seeing any of those alledged "scientific" papers directly inherited from the Harper era!!
In addition, does a "doctor" title auto-magically make one a proven "scientific" as well?? ... See what i mean?...
In conclusion this incident may happen to have ramifications way beyond the hypothetical "protection" by predators of Canadian children on planet Itnoc. Directly ahead some of us are expecting the reform of 2017 to contain many more Troy Horses, like kidnapings the American way, for example. Self-serving Civil Asset Forfeiture laws, etc., etc.
The pieces start falling in place once put into perspective with all other past events IMHO!

Here is a link to Mom's and Dad's for marijuana website. Such an important message to share. There is NO HARM in our children being in a home where cannabis is growing. The fact that law enforcement and government rip children out of the arms of their parents that grow pot is the HARM. This MUST STOP!!! Did you know that a Canadian 10 year old boy visiting his step dad in Oregon was kidnapped by the Oregon government and place in Oregon foster homes for 2 years because his Canadian mom was a pot activist. Once they finally returned him... NO THANKS to our Canadian Conservative Harper government who did not bring him home... the State of Oregon billed the mom $30,000 for taking care of her son. HELLOO!!!!??? How do we stop the disconnect??? http://dads4marijuana.webs.com/
