Please help!! AC broke down 1 week before harvest!!

I am totally freaking out! It seems my 4ton ac unit stopped working around 4pm or so because it completely froze up, so I was told to turn it off and wait a few hours for it to thaw. Temp Was 115 degrees at it's highest for about 5 hours so far and I am 1 week away from harvest! Is this going to stress the plants and kill them? Should I harvest early because of this? I grow indoors, I have 10 lights in that room with 10 plants that are very bushy with several tops. My buds are already big and heavy so will my buds be okay even if the plants die because of this? The AC unit is now fixed I just have to wait for the temps to drop. Now the temp has finally dropped to about 90 but it's still very hot in there. Will the 5-6 hours of high heat kill them if I get them even if it goes back to normal temp in there?

Help! Are my babies dead!?!? Please advise, thanks!!

I would say the heat will most likely destroy your harvest. You could build the ICE CHILLER swamp coolers. And use those for temporary relieif to get your harvest. Thats my recommendation or use a window unit in side the tent.

Sorry I failed to mention that the unit is now fixed and I'm waiting for The temp go come down now so it's now starting to regulate. So will the few hours of high heat still kill them?

Hes not in a tent and he's got 10 lights going in a room. I'm highly doubting any swampcooler will be even close to effective.

How far is your A/C unit from being thawed out and operational again? Check for dirty filters & proper drainage for the condensation buildup after the thaw. If its taking too long, then run a blow dryer on it to speed up the process.

I edited the thread to say it's thawed now so it's started to work and the temps are slowly dropping. I am still highly concerned that it was at 115 for 5 hours!

Also, I'm a she! Thanks!

Sorry, everyone is a dude to me on here haha
5 hrs shouldnt be enough to kill em, certainly if they arent showing signs of death now that the issue has been resolved. How are they looking at the moment? I can see them doing some canoeing and wilting but thats probably about it. Like I said, they will likely show you that they were unhappy for a bit, but they are very resillient plants and can take some punishment.

They honestly dont look as "beat up" as I would have anticipated for 115* for 5 hrs. I'm pretty sure they will make it to harvest with little to no issue at all.
Proper looking setup! What strains you running?

Im a fan of the GG#4 myself. I fell into a legit clone and luckily I was smart enough to make a momma out of it.
May I share a thought about your room setup?
If you replaced the batwing reflectors for air cooled hoods, and ran an exhaust fan using outside air to cool just your lights you'd save a ton of cash on your HVAC costs. Would likely pay for itself in the first 2 months of running the aircooled hoods. Not knocking since like I said, looks proper. Im just offering a money saving suggestion is all.

Thanks! I considered that, but the reason I didn't go that route is because there have been grow house smell complaints in my city and I don't want to upset or offend any of my neighbors! I contain most of the smell using carbon filters and fresh linen scented ona gel :)
But I very much appreciate your suggestions if you see anything else I'm doing wrong please let me know, this is actually my first real crop. I've had one before that I failed miserably with because I didn't know much about growing. I'm a newb!

I wouldnt say what you have is wrong by any means, just more efficient and cost effective ways to do it. Your grow is far larger than what I do, but I figured it must cost an arm and a leg to cool that room. With the smell issue, if you go with air cooled hoods, there is no smell since none of the air from the room is used to cool the lights. It gets pulled in from outside or another room, runs through the light hoods, cools the light, then is exhausted as heat right back outside. Only air it moves is from within the light hood and the ducting. No filters needed no worries of smells, and no loss of conditioned air that you have paid to cool.....resulting in far less hvac costs per month. The savings that just keep giving month after month :bigjoint:

Your plants arent dead. Just use your head. Run the lights less hours at lower watts if you have dimable ballasts. Keep It cool or your harvest will suck. Less light hours is the lesser of two evils compared to higher temps at the end of flower. Finish it cold.
