Pacific light concepts

"The most efficient led grow light available" Pretty strong claim.
What does efficient really mean in the context of growing great meds?

If brand Y is more efficient than brand X, by how much? And are they otherwise identical?

IMHO, to be more efficient, the supposedly more efficient light should produce X amount more of the identical quality bud.

That's all the efficiency I care about

And mostly the argument is only over < 5%, so what's the point beyond mental masturbation?

I guess the argument would be that even if it's only 5% more efficient, in 1 year that's 5% more bud and 5% less on your power bill. For some people that could mean lb's of herb and thousands of dollars.
For most hobby growers it's not as important.

Funny thing is, it's the hobby growers & guys that don't even grow that make the biggest deal about it. Ha!
Also, they never seam to take design into account.
I personally don't want any fixture that can't yield a pound using 400 watts. That's my guideline for efficiency to date.

You can get a pound or more with a 315 LEC.

Pound and a quarter off 260 watts of COB's, and not with some super high yielding schwag, two different top shelf strains.
You got that? Those are some rare #'s there.

Yeah, I heard of it from a grow store owner near me. That's another one that doesn't happen often.
With this SunCloak though, just about anyone can yield 2 pounds. No joke. I wasn't trying & the plants weren't the highest yielders. Only put 4 in there & its designed for 9 in 3 gall Potts.
I'm tellin ya, more people need to get the SunCloak. It's Bananas!
You'd think it's expensive but when you look at the ROI, it's the same as any other light. 1/2 the yield pays for the light off the first run. Not bad in my book.
Just ordered my second one today.
Which is a life saver cuz I have low ceilings in the new room & it makes it real easy to just throw em in n hit the switch.
3 Dimensional growing utilizes the whole plant or at least the height of the blades. So now I have 32" of plant to harvest instead of the usual 18"-2' of canopy.
I know I can get 2.5-2.75 #'s out of it.
Hands down, gotta be the highest yielding light available. I'd love to see more regular growers with it. Right now, only commercial grows are using it & a few guys like me.

I know I can get 2.5-2.75 #'s out of it.

We can compare our results once we both have a few runs done, Currently running Pineapple Express, OG Kush, and GG#4. Also how many of the blades are you running? 200W each blade and they recommend 3 Blades for a 4x4...so 600W You should be getting about 2lbs from that pretty easy. I hope for a little higher than that myself.

Well, I got this from ONE plant under the Amare SE 250 + a fair amount of swag. I am making cannabutter now, which should be incredible. Hell I just juiced the fresh defol leafs and am blasted

Compare results? You're working w/ DIY right? Post me a pic over on my thread of you would. You can post pics & updates on your grow there anytime. It's a place for all growers, not just Amare & SunCloak cuz that's what I use.
Yeah, their 200 watts per each set of blades. Come by n check it out. I only used 2 of the 3 bays & put the center bay together on the last run. I think the dimensions were about 30"x4' using 4 medium sized plants. That specific light was designed to be 4'x4' though w/ 16" bays. He sent me 2' spacing cords though so it can now be 6'x4' if I so choose. I'll be doing that w/ the next light I just ordered & implementing lighting above as well that he's making for me. Just have to figure out the wattage ad the above lighting I want. Thinking 125 -150 will do it.
Also, BigSmo made me some single cob lights to go above too.
Don't need lights above at 12"-16" spacing but I will @ 2' if I want to get the most out of each plant.
Really like the flexibility of this light. Allows you to use many different configurations.

thanks..i know suncloak are proprietary..these are 167 lm/w[correction176lm/w]
i will be using once i order and get them
will not be as elegant as suncloak but ..500us for 1000 w of em..
suncloak math was 160mlm/w so in the same ball park if the ones i am getting are what is claimed

greengenes sorry for us posting here but we wanna keep yer thread goin..

What are you getting? Hard strips or loose coils? Yeah, it's a pretty efficient light tech wise, then coupled w/ the 3D aspect of it, it's super efficient growth wise.
Glad to see someone giving a build a whirl. If you do this successfully, I bet many will follow in your footsteps. It's mad cool!

We can compare our grow styles and just use the same strain or something, I think I get the most out of a moderate scrog but growing inside the plant should yield more in theory.. but I would think that the plant would get too bushy and push into the lights.. it shouldnt cause a burn but still will block the light, and since its all over you have have better coverage but the lights with still have the same rate of fall off.
