No, thats incorrect. Its pretty much standard that most root clones with 24 hours of light. But whatever works.
Not from what I'm finding. Most suggest against 24/0 simply because of what I mentioned before, regarding the plant's own rooting hormone being in greatest effect at night, as well as reducing stress by allowing the cutting to recover better.

I'm sure people do root 24/0, such as you and Bud, but most of what I'm finding is people giving their clones a dark period.

Damn, hate to be the "downer" in this thread, but the "Animal" doesn't look Animal at all. Where did you source this cut?

"Animal Cookies" is GSCxFire OG, both have very distinguishable/easily recognizable traits, none present in the pic. Also looks to be heat stressed. The stress depicted is not caused by brief exposure to temps (the hours with the AC down), but prolonged periods of excessive heat. Leafy, airy, hairy. Heat for sure.

Check out some of my pics of Animal Cookies crosses for a good idea of what they should look like.
Not a reliable source didn't know the guy. But sure as hell never getting shit from him again. Not liking that strain at all. Maybe you're right, maybe I was lied to. I'm going to grow only glues. I like them best. My last strain was wifi og. They were beautiful until I got hit with PM and spider mites and nute burn because I didn't know what I was doing. Killed them so fast, it was very very sad.

Think you've been googling to much again and 21 days .....um don't think it was the light, I've never given clones a dark period. View attachment 3830307Feb 4,
View attachment 3830308 Feb 19, by golly roots do grow in the light lol. Sorry Snoop, just had to post a pic :(.
To be fair, I also had to figure out how to go about watering it. I'm not saying 24/0 doesn't work. I'm saying you should try 18/6 or 20/4 and tell me what your results are before acting like I don't know what I'm talking about specifically because I do my research.

Ugh I don't know why I came here. So many different opinions ends up confusing the fuck out of you, not helping!

I really don't push anyone. Most of the other guys who disagree with me worse than you push harder than I do. I just give a clear, logical response.
Then tell them to shut up and wait and see lol. On a side note I'm glad your plants recovered Snoop, I would have thought they would be dead given a few posts at the beginning ;). We had a huge drought here and there was more than once I found my plants looking like they had died only to find they peeked right back up, it's an amazing plant when it comes to survival.

I am too! If I lose this crop I would just call it quits lol. Some people are just not meant to grow. We'll see how it goes!

Told you so lol. But if you figure out who has actual done what their talking about that's half the battle. then try things for your self and see what works.
The annoying part is everyone who says something is sure what they're saying works best! I feel like I need to get out of here before I lose my mind :)

Good night y'all, see ya in the morn.

That's RIU for you. Regarding this situation, though, there's no wrong way as long as you get it to root. As I said, though, much of a plant's growth, especially root-wise, is done during the dark period and can be attributed to hormones that are most abundant at night.

Don't give up, never give up. I'm actually impressed by what you've built for just starting out (that I'm assuming lol). I know shit about indoor and started 10 years ago (guess I'm a slow learner), I do quite well outdoors though, it's been a bit longer, 41 years actually, birthday coming up lol. There are other great sites as well that aren't quite as ..... intense lol, have a look :).

Jesus, how old are you again?

Looking in the mirror, though, I really cannot believe I'll be hitting 30 in a couple of years. I swear, time stopped when I enlisted and forgot to resume.

Well I don't know how much you read but this is only my second crop. First crop was white fire and They were fully vegged, came to my house to start the flower period (which after reading the grow bible I realized moving the plants home that far along stresses the shit out of it) on top of that I got PM and and let it build all over every single leaf alive in that and room and figured, "oh, well it's called white fire, this must be the white stuff that it's supposed to shed?" Lol and then I realized they came with spider mites... bitches were webbing around all of the buds. Let's just say I nearly died bleaching that room. Lol... so if something happens to this crop I will lose my shit, that's why I said I'll give up haha

@Snoopy36, give @RM3 a ring. He might be able to help you with a community that isn't as hectic. There are a LOT of nuances in the grow style within his community, but the fringe techniques and concepts he teaches work exceptionally well. There are quite a few of us Riddlers here, most like myself having started here before talking with Rid more. Really nice, patient guy, though. Check him out.

I switched to full on hydro due to bugs in the room which has its own unique struggles lol. I got tired of gnats flying up my nose :(. Never had mites though thank god :).
