AK47 8 weeks flowering. Ready?

They look really good! I also am doing ak47 (from marijuanaseedshop.com) and she is 6 full weeks and 4 days into flowering...and she looks really good...this is my second grow and I also want mine to make it to 9 weeks if possible...where did your seeds come from if u don't mind my asking? Ps I have an ak47 grow journal on here if u want to see pics.

Actually got them from the same site lol. Using Dr Earth nutes in Roots Organic soil.

Depends on whether you want any real weight and bud density or not, because you won't get either with less than 10 weeks, regardless of what the vendor said. You could harvest anywhere from 7 to 10 weeks but it would be counterproductive to harvest early. But if yield and density aren't a concern for you then yeah, chop away.

I don't know about that, it strongly depends on strain. some plants CAN be at peak harvest week 8. especially when it's a strong indica. the only way to accurately tell if it is done is by using a jewelers loupe to look at trich. regardless if the plant has been in flower for 7 or 13 weeks, it all depends on the trichs. if you wait 10 weeks for a plant that was ripe at 8 weeks you can hermie it, and cause significant loss of THC levels as it breaks down into CBD.
I would still say your plant could keep going a bit longer from what I see in the pictures. alot of your pistils are receding but I still see some that havent. though your post was from several days ago, I'd say a week more from those pictures. a good tip is to drop the plants into 36- 48 hours of darkness right before chop. it will help kick that buds into overdrive producing more resin and more thc

Here's something on time in flowering correlation to potency and Trichome color correlation to potency, from THE PROPAGATION, CHARACTERISATION AND OPTIMISATION OF CANNABIS SATIVA L AS A PHYTOPHARMACEUTICAL. Personally I've never seen any amber or dark trichs on my plants. Looks like you could harvest anywhere from 7 to 10 weeks and get virtually identical potency. It's just a matter of how much yield and how solid the buds would be. I find 10 weeks to be best. It also looks like all clear or white trichs would be best.

I have a question about the chart....it has veg time and flower time...control subjects only had 3 weeks veg, 7 weeks flower. What if you veg for 7 weeks? Would it make a difference? I'm 7 weeks 2 days in flower and seeing 70% cloudy trichs and the hairs are changing color. The calyxes are swelling and some of the pistils are receding in bundles making the calyx big and swollen...very beautiful. I'm trying to decide rather or not to flush...I'm in soil. And hey to the OP can we see a new pic?

No veg time doesn't matter. And it depends on how much weight and bud density you want, regarding harvest time. If you want solid buds and high weight I would wait until 10 weeks, flushing on the 10th one.

Aaaaah ok thanks....I'm waiting for a lot of amber trichs before I harvest. I harvested this same strain too early last grow and it wasn't at all ready so I'm really wanting to give it all the time it needs this go round. I also learned to not remove leaves Bc when I did my sugar leaves started to get fried and I had no choice but to take her down early. Oh well lesson learned! Def cool to see how much she is changing over the last part of flower...
