Nitrogen toxicity??

Plants are a month old and recently transplanted into a mix of Epsoma potting soil (no nutes beyond a bit of castings in it) with added lime and Epsoma plant tone dry organic fertilizer at about 3/4 recommended amount about a week ago. Plants are all suddenly showing a dark green/bluing on all of the leaves within last three days and new growth tips appear to be maybe smaller and deformed. This is a 5 3 3 fertilizer . Over half of the nitrogen is not water soluble. Bag says 3% non water soluble. 0.4% ammoniacal nitrate and 1.6% other water soluble nitrogen. About a week before this transplanting, I fed each plant about a 1\6 strength dose of a liquid veg fert. The only fertilizer used before this was a very light topping with Epsoma a few weeks ago. Plants were all looking good until now. Dark leaves with many curling down at leaf tips. Weak growth tips. Leaves don't feel the same to the touch. Thanks man. Was worried because the sudden darkening of leaves. They've never had that color before. They all seem to be just a touch lighter now and thinking new growth is bigger. Keeping an eye on it. I was hoping to start flowering these babies in a week or so but will probably have to let some of this fertilizer get used up for a while.

Do your pots drain? Are those regular plastic bags lining the inside of the pots?

Yes I agree your roots need to breath and not drownd... plants look great. Did you say they seem to be "bluing" maybe it's cool or getting cold - Personally peps I get great results with the cheapest and most minimal means. Dude Your plants are bombing DO NOT over water & DO NOT over feed U Will B so HAPPY.

isn't this a sign of canoeing ? the bags won't help with no drainage either as someone said above.

I'd be lucky to only deal with how yours look. I grow northern lights and every few plants seem to be very nitrogen sensitive and when I up-pot I deal with severe clawing. Between happy frog and ocean forest fox farm soil.

As Bugeye said, they're running hot. They still look great but if OP doesn't back off a little on nutes then toxicities will start leading to lockouts and so on.

I can't say with conviction due to my inexperience. With how dark green the NEW growth is the plants look Nitrogen toxic to me.

Personally I would hold off nutrients for a week and give plain water pHed to whatever range you've been using. My goal is 6.5.

Plants look happy and healthy though. Overall they look good! Looking forward to more updates.
