I smell curry. I love when my wife does not have to work :hump:
I fixed chicken curry last night. Nothing like a warm spiced stew on a cold late autumn evening.

whole frying chicken
6 cloves garlic crushed
2 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads soaked in warm milk
1/4 cup milk scalded
3 tablespoons oil or ghee
2 large onions finely sliced
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon black pepper ground
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup hot water
3 tablespoons ground almonds
1/2 cup cream
2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves chopped

Cut the chicken into joints and score the skin. Combine garlic, ginger and turmeric, rub well all over chicken. Soak saffron strands in milk for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a large heavy pan and fry onions until golden brown, remove and reserve.
Add chicken pieces a few at a time and brown lightly on both sides. When all are done return to them all to the pan, sprinkle with garam masala and salt.
Add saffron soaked in milk, the hot water and half the browned onions.
Cover and cook until chicken is tender, turning chicken pieces half-way during the cooking. Remove chicken when done and place on a serving platter.
Add almonds and cream to the sauce in the pan, heat through stirring well. Pour over the chicken. Garnish with the remaining browned onions and coriander.

Isn't po'andgrow a real piece of work. I wonder if he has turrets?
Either way, it will be fun to watch him meltdown:-)

BLM is not a militant group, nor can they contain every idiot or crazy or imbecile from doing things in their name or claim an inspiration by them.

everyone can see how the police have become militarized. that effects everyone down the line. and who is going to get the brunt of the effect of militarized police other than the those with the least among us, ie, power to fight back, power to stand your ground and push back.

in this country we have a mix of those people, people of all kinds. and the largest number by percentage is black people. that's just a fact.

so they have been and still are taking the brunt of that more than anyone else. it's natural that organizations would form to marshal some power to stand up and push back.

if you don't think the problem with black people is genetic, that they by nature aren't smart enough or won't hard enough and all that. then the real question is then why is it that black people still make up much of the lower class? if it's not genetic then it MUST be something external.

what could that external factor look like? racism. it has to be a major part of the answer.

there is another external answer.

why are there still ghettos in this country?

why are they usually black predominant?

the economic system we live under by design creates poor people. that's why decades after decades nothing changes for the better in the same rural and innercity areas. it's not because the people there are just too stupid by nature ever change things.

in other words, in this capitalism, ghettos just come with the scenery. if there were no black people, someone else would be living in Watts and leading the bloods and crips.

but there are black people, and they are the easiest to squeeze into those areas and keep them there.

black people are not genetically inferior. so it must be something else. and so how could there not be a Black Lives Matter?

and how can we not hear their simplest basic cry or to deny it, even if there is a cacophony of other things.

no one can argue that black people on the whole, don't get the short end of the stick.

so the point isn't "this guy did this" and "yadda yadda also matters", the point is why are they getting the short end?

that's all they are trying to point out.
See my thread on Pope Industries of North Caroline.

Some of us are visionaries beyond our ken..jus' sayin'

37% of millenials who could vote, voted for Trump. A lot of millenials didn't vote at all. Some, because they couldn't stomach Clinton. Just eyeballing that graphic, I'll revise my estimate and say maybe you only have to wait 12 years. Bernie will be pretty old by then. Are you sure you are willing to wait for him?

It's the racist streak in white millennials that has me concerned anyway. The same thing happened to boomers when they got older. They became more conservative and racist.

When you decry Pie for her sexual preferences, you automatically eliminate every single thing you've ever said about protecting the rights of those who need to be protected because the idea is that everyone's rights should be protected regardless of sexuality.
i fully defend pie's god-given right to cuckold her husband.

This movement isn't about Bernie Sanders. He will probably be too old for the next presidential election. It's about what he represents.

Decent enough basic recipe. Agreed regarding stews & cold weather.

I 'dated' a Nepali girl years ago and her coochie smelled like masala. No joke. My wiener & fingers served as the naan, sopping up every last drop!

I've asked you directly before and gotten indirect answers. Other than Bernie, who are you looking at as potential leadership for the Democratic party? I'm just asking what other people are thinking about as answers going forward. I'd like to see more turnover in the Democratic party leadership and a turn away from Boomer leaders.

Grassroots candidates, people who represent the middle-class. Sorry if you were looking for names because I don't have any
