CLU058 vs CXB35900

Im COB shopping and have a few questions:

1. I see CLU058 run as efficiently as a CXB3590 at a higher wattage, does that mean fewer CLU058 COBs are needed? Is light spread/coverage better with more lower wattage cobs (say 6 CXB3590s) than less higher wattage cobs (say 4 CLU058)?

2. Is there a chart that compares CLU058 and CXB3590 efficacy levels at different wattages?

3. How do I calculate how many CLU058 COBs a driver can power, the wattage each COB will see, and the efficacy at that wattage?

4. Is there no ideal holder for the CLU058? Does the BJB require soldering or the terminal blocks?

5. What is the "best" COB right now in your opinion between the CLU058, CXB3590, and Vero 29 G7? Pros and Cons of each?

Ive searched but having these specific answers all in one place will be extremely helpful.

Im trying to bloom a 4x4 tent w/ SCROG. Originally think of 4x CLU058.

For the CLU058 and CXB3590, I cant seem to find consistent lm/w specs from site to site, especially nothing explaining in simple terms/charts what the maximim wattage is, efficiency at different wattages, or what drivers pair and how many they can power.

I'm honestly pretty confused from looking at all the model numbers and terminology; forward voltage vs voltage, current vs forward current vs test current, flux @ different temperatures, efficiency at different wattages/temperatures, etc.

Basically, I want to run it near peak effiency and have good light coverage. I need to know if more cobs at 50w (cxb3590) is better than less cobs at 90w? (CLU058]. Im trying to be cost effective above all; I figure buying 4 CLU058 cobs is cheaper than 6 CXB3590 cobs.

I'm also trying to decide between 3000k and 3500k, what do you guys suggest is best for bloom?

they rank something like the following in efficiency per my tests
clu058-3618
cxm32
.
clu058-1825
vero v7 70V
.
cxm22
vero v7 50V = vero v7 34V = clu048-1818
cxb3590
.
.
clu048-1212
What is the differencd between the CLU058-3618 and CLU058-1825? I've been looking at the 1825s you have in stock. What is the efficiency and wattage for those compared to the CXB? Thanks Cobkits!

same size dimensionally but 3618 is a 100V cob and 1825 is a 50V cob (better driver options)

1825 can be run up to 314ish watts, 3618 up to 524ishW

up to about 150W they are similar in efficiency. 3618 pulls ahead above 150W

for bloom only - 3000k

this might help you

honorable mention to cxm22 which is newer than that chart and runs a little above the 1818, and are $17/ea

CXM22 seems like a new option for me. I see the CXM32 rated next to the CLU058-3618, do you carry that model too (cost?)?

How many CXM22s for my 4x4 SCROG (scrog screen is actually 40"x40" inside 4x4 tent)?

cxm32 are minimum 300 order (per color) and i dont sell enough clu058 as it is so theyre kind of out as an option

9 cxm22 at 60-65W each would do your 4x4 up nice

What driver(s) to go with 9 of your passive cxm22 engines to get 55w-65w? Then all I'd need is a frame, correct?

CLU 058 is the best right now. Vero 29 v7 70 volt is a close second. CXB3590 is in third place and honestly the most expensive so pretty much out.
The spec sheets tells something different the Citizen 1825 starts to beat the Vero 29C above the 100W point.

Just purchased the 9 cxms and 3 drivers. I really appreciate your help, thanks.

Edit: Any suggestions for frame dimesions and spacing for my application (4x4 tent with 40"x40" SCROG screen)?
