I have never got through my heatsinks with a drill. I gave up and taped my cobs on lol

You aren't going to want to keep it like that. Get your sink tapped properly so you don't have to worry about something knocking it loose.

The TIM holds them on, and the kapton tape is for security.
a yr later and still going strong.
If I found a way to drill through my heatsinks without buying new tools i would do it though.

Thanks I hope I dont have issues.
My only problem was my soldering skills, and a few cold solder joints coming loose. I used too heavy of a wire gauge.
I have holders that I didnt use because I couldnt drill through sinks

I bought a 5 speed drill press at Harbor Freight for $29.00 regularly $69.00 someone returned it because the shaft wobbled. Well all I had to do was tighten the collar bolt and it was as good as it would ever be. I mean this is not a real tool but for 29 bucks it gets the job done.

Takes time, but gets it done.

He just has to look up how to apply it correctly. Proper application is critical in avoiding future issues with the emitter.

8 weeks veg. 2 weeks and 4 days in flower now. The lights are strong enough to keep it all compact rather than letting it get stretchy. About the PPFD of a 600w HPS using 241w.
