Here are some of the strains that have made it into my regular rotation. These are all being harvested at day 62 and a few of them are well done but a few others could use an extra week or so. They were all grown in 4x4 rockwool cubes on an ebb and flow table. This little grow was mainly just to preserve the genetics and I had a little extra room at the time so I just decided to go ahead and flower them. of There was only 1 or 2 of each strain and even though some of them could use some more time I am just cutting them all down now because I need to use the table to start another crop. I have a couple of others grown in 2gal pots that I am going to give another week so I will wait until I harvest them to post pics of those strains.

Purple Girl Scout Cookies - My friend picked up this strain from craigslist about 3 years ago and I grow it every once in a while. I believe it is the thin mint pheno crossed with purple urkel. It finishes pretty quickly and has large cookies-style nugs that turn nice and purple and have a interesting smell and taste that changes a lot depending on how you grow it. Like most stuff that has urkel in it it is pretty finicky about nutrients and will sprout a couple of stamens if you let it go long but they never really release any pollen. This one could use another week because only the very top nugs have turned purple.Purple Cookies 01.JPG Purple Cookies 05.JPG Purple Cookies 02.JPG

Gorilla Glue #4 - This plant definitely deserves its elite clone status. It is very vigorous in veg and flowers quite quickly. It has a delicious smooth, earthy kush smell and taste and it really is as sticky as some gorilla glue. When trimming this one I always end up with tons of finger hash. It grows very tall in veg with extremely spaced out internodes but it doesn't stretch as much as you would think during flower. The nuggets are large dense and frosty and have huge calyxs with not much leaf. They can develop some very slight purpleish hues past day 70 but it is not pronounced. It is no accident that this one has become so popular. It is a killer plant.Gorilla Glue 01.JPG Gorilla Glue 03.JPG Gorilla Glue 04.JPG Gorilla Glue 06.JPGGorilla Glue 08.JPG

Skywalker OG - This is another really nice elite clone. The skywalker has a really dank dark lemony smell to it with lots of kushy overtones. It is super greasy and sticky and grows large kush style nuggets that are very dense with a very high calyx/leaf ratio. The plant itself will branch and spread out more than your typical kush plant. It has huge fan leaves and really large stalks with big knuckles at the joints. It comes on a bit later in flower but really fills out nicely by 70 days. This one could obviously use another week but it is flushed and ready to chop and will make fine smoke. I don't think I will ever get rid of this one.Skywalker OG 01.JPG Skywalker OG 03.JPG

Mango Skywalker - This is a cross I made. The exact genetics are (Motarebel BC Mango x BC God Bud) x (Clone Skywalker OG x (Reservoir Chemdawg x Sour Diesel)) This plant is not as big as the regular Skywalker OG and grows large clustered together tops as opposed to the more typical kush style individual nugs making it a good plant to do sea of green with. It has more of a kushy funk to it without the lemonine that the regular Skywalker has and tastes a bit like sour mangos on the exhale. The high is much more sativa than the clone Skywalker OG which has a strong indica buzz. This one definitely has some CBD in it but the head high is much more pronounced.Mango Skywalker 01.JPG Mango Skywalker 04.JPG

Turpentine - This is another one of my creations that is a homebrew knockoff of some stuff that my Mendocino friends were doing. The original Turpenetine is (OG Kush x Great White Shark) x (Mendo Purps x (Maui x Dog x Super Silver Haze)) ie Purple Maui Super Dog or just PDOG. Much props to the boys in Booneville, CA for this one. This was bred from a bagseed from a pound of the Purple Maui Super Dog as the mother and some seeds my friend hooked me up with of Woody Kush x Turpentine as the pollen donor. So this version of Turpentine is technically PDOG S1 x (Woody Kush x Turpentine). I grew out about 25 females of this back in late 2008 and they all had the signature Turpentine dankness to them but most grew in larger fluffier nugs. This was the single recessive pheno that grew in a typical vertical kush style with really dense nuggets that were smaller in size than their fluffier counterparts. Turpentine is the perfect name for this plant because the terpenes are really out of control. The dankness is unprecedented. You could have a quarter ounce of this strain sitting next to a pound of most anything else and all you will be able to smell is the Turp. It has around 20% THC with very low CBD and it is a nice relaxing high that gets you really faded without putting you to sleep. I love to roll joints of this to take to concerts because whenever you are smoking one everybody walking by will invariably exclaim something like, "Holy shit that smells fantastic!" It is truly dank beyond dank. Smelling a turkey bag of this stuff is like sticking your head in a bucket filled with half pinesol and half lemon pledge. It is a little tricky to grow and not the best yielding plant but it is no slouch and it is totally worth it for the smoke.Turpenetine 02.JPG Turpenetine 04.JPG Turpenetine 06.JPG Turpenetine 10.JPG Turpenetine 12.JPG Turpenetine 15.JPG

Yeti - This is another of my creations that I am particularly proud of. It has the same Woody Kush x Turpentine male as the Turpentine and the mother is The Purps x Elite Genetics Super Strawberry Diesel. This one is a great yielder because it will bush out naturally and shoot up multiple tops while at the same time growing vertical kush-style stalks. It is a really unique plant in every characterisitc. It has the super lemony Turpentine dankness overlaying a deep strawberry jam base. I have thought about calling it strawberry lemonade but some friends of mine started calling it the Yeti shortly after I first came out with it in 2010 and the name just stuck; but since there are a bunch of other strains out there called Yeti these days maybe it will get changed. It is really delicious smoke that has high levels of both THC and CBD. Everyone loves it and it kind of makes me feel like a genius even though in reality it is just some pollen chucking at its finest.Yeti 03.JPG Yeti 04.JPG Yeti 06.JPG Yeti 07.JPG Yeti 02.JPG Yeti 01.JPG

Almost forgot this one

Cherry Pie - This is another great elite clone that really delivers the true F1 hybrid vigour. I believe it is a cross of Durban Poison and Grand Daddy Purps. It will veg up as fast or maybe even a little faster than Blue Dream. It spreads out really wide and bushy and requires a lot of pruning just because of the extreme bushiness. It is plenty well done at 62 days and grows large nugs that need a lot of support. It isn't super dense or frosty but the nugs are just delightful smoke. It really smells just like a Cherry Pie. Deep cherry funk with that super unique baked goods smell like the cookies. Personally, I like this plant even more than Girl Scout Cookies. The high is a nice hazy daytime buzz that is really relaxing but not sleepy and it gets you nice and faded without any anxiety or paranoia. And did I mention that it tastes amazing? Because it really, really, tastes amazing.Cherry Pie 01.JPG Cherry Pie 02.JPG Cherry Pie 03.JPG Cherry Pie 04.JPG Cherry Pie 05.JPG Cherry Pie 06.JPG

Mob Boss - This is a pretty popular plant here in Colorado that is very nice to grow. I believe it is by Grindhouse Seeds and is a cross of Chemdawg D and something called Tang Tang. This is pretty much what it tastes like; Tangy Chemdawg. It is incredibly fat and dense and frosty and grows in a candelabra shape with very large top flowers. It can be a little harsh on the lungs due to the extremely high amount of resin it produces.Mob Boss 02.JPG Mob Boss 06.JPG Mob Boss 08.JPG Mob Boss 09.JPG

Cherry Boss - This is my attempt to add some density, frostiness and heavy indica punch to the delicious taste of the Cherry Pie and I pretty much nailed it. I crossed the Cherry Pie clone with a Mob Boss backcross that I made using a Skywalker OG x (Reservoir Chemdawg x Sour Diesel) male. The resulting Mob Boss BX1 plants were all very uniform and similar to the Mob Boss clone. I took the biggest, baddest boy and crossed it onto the Cherry Pie. I grew out about 25 females and all of them were fat and frosty but the majority tasted more like the Mob Boss with about 20% having a pretty distinct Cherry Pie flavor. Luckily for me the largest, densest and highest yielding plant also had the most amount of Cherry flavor. This plant grows with the bushier stature of the Cherry Pie but produces big, dense, frosty flowers that taste like Sour Cherry Chemdawg.Cherry Boss 01.JPG Cherry Boss 02.JPG Cherry Boss 03.JPG Cherry Boss 04.JPG

BC Mango x BC God Bud - This is a Motarebel strain that I purchased through Elite Genetics back around 2007 or 2008. It is a nice, big, purple, indica-style plant that starts out smelling like cotton candy but darkens into a more muskier concord grape flavor as it matures. The taste is excellent, and the effect is very unique. It is a really spacey, almost psychedelic buzz and I tend to get quite a bit of a visual distortion effect after smoking it.Mango God Bud 07.JPG

Sage & Sour - This is a THSeeds strain that is really unique made by crossing Sour Diesel with their S.A.G.E. The flavor of this one is really top notch. I have a few purple sage bushes in my yard and it is remarkable just how similar the terpene profile of this plant is to them. The effect is that of a strong 50/50 hybrid and this plant really likes to concentrate growth into the top flowers. The distinct sweet sage smell and taste is what this one is all about.Sage & Sour 05.JPG Sage & Sour 08.JPG Sage & Sour 09.JPG Sage & Sour 10.JPG

??? No biggie but I don't "see" rockwool cubes in any of those tables......

The GSC looks like Dr Greenthumbs strain. His is naturally a purple.....Has the right structure and shape too.....I might pick that as your pheno source!
I prefer Riots 26 cookies and his real deal GSC S1's.....Greenies is a real nice build of the strain though!

Here's my organic GG#4

I find your MOB BOSS as very interesting....

I gotta ask, what are your temps swings from light to night?
Your NPK of the bloom nutrient? Supplement anything during bloom?

I ask because the coloring on some look to be from cold with K helping some.....It's interesting to me anyway.

NICE plants and well done too!

That is quite a sexy GG4. I usually only get that foxtail shape out of it on the plants that are directly under the light but it always fills out nice and fat.

The Mob Boss is a great plant that is high in both THC and CBD. The flowers are always kind of squishy feeling even when they are bone dry because it grows so fat and dense and resinous.

My friend picked up the Cherry Pie, the Thin Mint Cookies and the Purple Cookies from a guy in Colorado Springs who brought them from California (russet mites included!). I don't have a pic of the Thin Mint Pheno because I stopped growing it about a year ago but it was really tall like the GG4. He said that the Purple Cookies was a cross that his friends made that was Thin Mint x Purple Urkel.

These were all grown in rockwool with Cutting Edge nutrients. The first set of plants were indeed grown in 4x4 rockwool cubes, harvested at 62 days. I find cubes are just an easy way to preserve the various genetics without taking up too much space or doing much work. The Mob Boss, Cherry Boss, Mango x God Bud, and Sage & Sour were in 2gal pots with loose grow chunks and I let them go a full 70 days. I have only grown plants in the pots full of chunks this way a couple of times and these really could have been flushed a bit more and a bit earlier. I'll bet the runoff was still at around 1000ppm at harvest. The temperature right now is around 75 with the lights on and around 55-60 with the lights off. I usually boost the potassium quite a bit at the beginning and middle of flowering with the Uncle John's Blend and at the middle and end of flowering with the Sugaree. All the purple plants are genetically purple and will turn that color in any medium and at any temperature. The green streaks in the Mango x God Bud and the Sage & Sour are due to not flushing early and thoroughly enough. Usually both these strains are solid purple by day 70.

Interesting to be sure!

I'm willing to put forth that your higher K use is helping the coloring out some! I see it in the color "structure" or way it's being expressed in some....The 15 degree swing helps out too...

Here's a natural "Black" strain.....Platinum Banana OG (this is a pink pistol pheno) this shit is real skull candy!

That GSC, really does look like Greenies GSC too.....I'll have to ask him what he used on that build....

That Banana looks great. I just picked up the Platinum Cookies last week that uses that same Platinum male and I am excited to grow it out. The increased potassium certainly helps with the coloring but I am positive that the multi-colored rainbow look to those later plants is mostly due to having too much nitrogen too late in life and not properly flushing enough. I wouldn't say these particular plants were my best work but they came out ok. I have grown these strains almost every different way in practically every medium possible from organic soil to aeroponics, DWC, coco, hydroton, rockwool, etc. In the summertime my room is usually 80+ in the day and maybe only gets down to 70-75 at night and all the purple strains will still turn dark purple. I used to do TLO organics exclusively but I have shifted to some sea of green style hydroponics mainly to keep my poor back from falling apart. I still do seed runs in organic soil.

No, high N will not do that in plants.....It' will keep them green longer when over using P. Several nutrient makers actually chart that way to cover up their use of too much P... I found I never liked their products anyway...
Still, I like how your plants are coloring...no matter how they're doing it..

I think your plants look fine!

Flushing? What ever for??? If you don't over feed. You have no need!

I hear you on the "back" part!
I have never been a fan of either REV or Subcool and their rather dumb "layering" methods.....Mix it up and pour it in and be done with it......

I do a tiered up potting and use a veg and a bloom soil! The "base" is what I use for seedlings and is 30 day.....So 3 soils if you will. Last up-potting is into the final pot with the bloom soil, and she gets 8 days and into the bloom room she goes!

I like some of Matt's gear....Some, not so much.....But, that's basically how it goes with prolific breeders...

If you like full sativa's at all. Give connoisseur genetic's Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze a run! DAMN strong haze! Well worth the sativa effort! This baby is worth doing a 7 - 10 gallon pot size run on a plant...
