Can you comment my growth?

Hello,

It's been a wile since I used to grow MJ and I need some tips..

Some info

Growing in soilmix pH 6,5 10galoon pot
Was in veg for 2 month and yesterday switched to flowering
Watering always 2 times a week
Runoff pH is always 6.2 - 6.5
Used only 18-18-18 + calcium. Now I will use 13-40-13

Now I can see some problems -

• white new leaves edges
• Older leaves started yellowing
• Strange dots on random leaves

Could anyone help me with these problems?

im not a soil guy
so im sure there are others more qualified to speak on it but I will say

im betting it either nute burn or nute def... its hard to say because I don't know when and how much of your 18-18-18 (which is a bit hot) was added and how fast it works

over all they look good but I do see yellowing on the new growth which indicates micro nute def or imbalance

then you also have very green lush fan leaves which could be over fertilized....

the calcium your adding could be high causing K lock out if you over did it... is it liquid calcium or dolomite, or calcium nitrate?

its possible you could have too little 18-18-18 to prevent micro nute def but too much calcium causing burn on tips and k lock out

its hard to say with the typ of time released nutes you are using.. a quality liquid fertilizer would be easier to diagnose

maybe you should void the dry nute ferts and get you some liquid nutes to correct the imbalance
but again..there might be a soil guy here who can help more

I would have to agree. Looks like a little bit of nute burn. Nothing major and plants look pretty healthy. Drop the nutes on the next feed and make sure you get a good amount of run off

he cant drop the nutes..hes adding 18-18-18 dry fertilizer that is time released

if hes over fed he needs to flush it out with plain ph'd water

wait for the next watering a few days later and feed with a well balanced liquid fertilizer
if ease of use is your thing use the flora nova by general hydroponics its a 1 part fertilizer
and the directions for mixing are on par

I cant see where he said he was using time released fertlizer. But if he was, wouldnt a flush just release more fertlizer?
Anyway, impo that plant looks just fine. I dont see any clear signs of anything. Two crisp tips out of a whole plant dont point to anything specific.

maybe I made the assumption... most of the 10-10-10...20-20-20...18-18-18 ferts I have seen are dry salt blends and time released but I could be wrong with my assumption

and yes a flush would release ferts in order to replace them with a better balanced ratio than what be there

flush water thru...test the run off see how many ppm or EC it is
continue flushing until the waste is under 700 ppm or 0.9 EC

let soil dry
nest watering use;

assuming your fertilizers are not time releases and are water soluble
dilute your soluble dry salts in water.. do not use more than 2grams per gallon... water with nutes every or every other watering

soil is extremely forgiving
so im not saying you cant grow weed with what you've got

im just saying you can grow weed better with a better formula and that doesn't mean you have to spend a bunch of money

typically a good flower ratio is something like

range 60- -80 N
range 50 to 60 P
range 120 --140 K

now im not a soil grower so you may find you need less or more which is why I gave you a range

I use liquid nutes and RO water I feed at 1.8ec and have no problems at all with nute burn and my groth is incredible. I use botanicare nutes. While i was feeding at .9ec i had every problem there was.

but there are many factors I suppose... some peeps seem to water nutes every time, some every other, some every third

do you ever check the EC of the run off that comes from the bottom of the pot?

I personally don't think I would consider going over 1.5

in my rockwool I feed 0.9 EC and there happy happy , but that's rockwool

I haven't checked it actually bc i have had no problems. I feed every watering. 5ml calmag 10ml PBP grow 5ml liquid Karma 2ml hydro 2ml rhyzo 2.5ml silica.

then watch and see if you get any def and if so whats def
allowing you to make an adjustment for that specific def

for example; if your source water is extremely low in calcium and your nute ratio also was lacking calcium

so now you've increased the total EC using more nutes to remedy the calcium def .. but you've also rasied several other minerals as well when you only want to add calcium

I am using RO water 99.9% pure h20 . The calmag I uses adds about .5 ec alone. That was my major problem a long with every other problem. I always check the pH of my run off and it's always 6.4ph. I never thought about checking the ppm. I'm going to do that next watering. I always water with 20% run off. My gallon pots I feed every 3 days my 5 gallon smart pot every 6 days. I only have 3 mom's running right now. I cut clones last night for my 8×4. I have alot to learn still that is for sure and this forum has been extremely helpful. This is my smallest mom. Been lst her this past week and a half
