LMAO!
NO, I don't hate you! Your actually fine! You don't get
personal and I'm trying to help - as many as I can...
I actually rather liked your "noob" post! Please consider that all I did there was add to it!
That was my
intent!
Ok then, lets have some fun here and I'll actually spend some time helping you out! OK?
I have never been a fan of FF solubles !!! The P rates are way overblown for Cannabis in my book....WAY overblown!
Adding another high P substance is more like torture then a benefit.....
Nutrient companies have mostly sold out to profits from those that believe that early and high P rates are making bigger buds. I mean, they say it makes the biggest bestest buds you have every seen! People buy into that and the others want the market share so they make something like it and make their own "claims"
Basically, in the real world. The plant actually needs that higher N for a cpl of weeks of bloom. Several nutrient makers see that fact for our plant and actually increase it bit at that point. Around week 5 they then add a P/K booster of around 0-6-9....some as high a 0-12-13 or 0-13-14 (that's due to the ratio being in decimals - closer to 13-14 for the booster).
Hesi and Canna are a cpl of good examples of that. These are 2 old school Dutch brands that have fun suing each other over who was first on the market that way, and over product names (but that's another story).
I used Hesi a lot during those late synthetic years.....I did change up from some of their products due to cost and that I could mimic what they had, better for far less. basically I used the base nutrients and the boost. Later adjusted their feed rates to suit the way I liked and dialed in...
So then. The basic idea that feeding a good quality base Veg for 2 weeks past the light change ( I did give the plants a tickle of extra P&K at the flip - one time only ) and like 50/50 at week 3. Then go to 100% bloom foods - with a single shot of a 0-9-19 at week 6&7 and sometimes at week 5 - strain dependent....Worked out the best for
ME!
Basic nutrient goals were ratio wise right about 3-1-2 or 3-2-2 in veg to early bloom. I actually fed everyday, a metered amount at that value..I jumped the NPK ratio to around 5-6-8 for mid bloom and boosted late...
It would work with any nutrient, marketed along those ratios. You might have to use less of it to hit that mark, and things near that shouldn't be hard to dial in either...I've seen pics of people's ops that they claim insane ratios in use and still can't believe what they claimed
BUT, they never did line out
exactly how they fed it.....If they were using those things. I suspect it was at very reduced rates!
Anyway. In reality, there is no "real" need to boost, if you balance your ratio's properly and adjust at the right times.
Otherwise, that's simply nutrient makers trying to make money from you..saying you'll do better with ridiculous high P rates.
Questions? Just ask Strocat....your straight!
