why flush...unless you have an issue to correct

many of us use full nutes until the end....others will reduce nutes or use straight water for the last 2 weeks
I bought some Florakleen to be use the last week ,I don't know how to evaluate when to flush . When the pistils start tuning brown ?

using products such as Florakleen is about the worst way to flush....if you really have your heart set on flushing, just use straight water and scrap these snake oil products.

if you were to post a few pictures of your plants, and let us know how the trichromes are looking close up...then we might be able to provide an opinion as to how many weeks to go

I never flush or go to straight water with DWC. I'll pump out half the nutes and top up with RO to reduce the ppm to around 500 and maybe add some OverDrive to pump up the trichs a bit. I tend to crop the big top colas and let the lower stuff ripen up for another 10 days or so. I want something there for them to eat and grow with.

A slow dry and good cure is the secret to smooth smoking tasty buds. Not flushing. How do you flush an outdoor grow in the ground? :)

I start cropping when almost all the hairs have gone red and the trichs are 50/50, cloudy/clear just like Jorge Cervantes recommends in his grow bibles. Peak THC then.

Whatever nutrient line you use usually has a feeding chart... me personally I flush with mag... sour dee... and bloom.
I am only at the 5th week of bloom . But reading all you guys commentaries ,I have to read and research on that flushing thing .
I thought a majority of people did a flush ... Is it differenent because I'm in a DWC or no need to flush for soil either ?

I am very surprised nobody answered saying they flush ... Starting to believe it's a myth ... What is OverDrive ?

It's a supplement made by Advanced Nutrients to use in weeks 5 - 7 to pump up the buds and trichs. Seems to work and I got a liter for half price a couple weeks ago.

5 weeks is too early to consider flushing and I don't advise using that flushing additive. Plants can just dry up and die quick with it as it pulls the salts out of the plants. Not always but often enough to be wary of it. Plain water if you have to.

I don't do dwc... I'm sure it isn't that far off from soil or coco either. Tons of options... Definitely don't want your buds tasting like nutes :bigjoint:

How much of that full strength nute lineup are the plants using in their last week or two of swell?

As long as they're healthy. As much as they can swallow... there's gonna be people that say flush. And those that say don't. It's all up to you man. Your tree. Your time. You make that decesion

Agreed totally, lots of folks do their own thing, some like pudding up their asses with a popsicle stick in their mouth.

I'd really like to know, how much of the nute line the plants are able to utilize at the end of life, vs earlier in their lives. The growth stage has completely changed at harvest, no new calyxs to be found, not much by means of "growth". So what processes exactly are the nutes being thrown at?

Towards the end I like to use Snow storm... which boosts trichomes... some sour dee for flavor... bloom... and mag. Lol. You're too funny bro!!

I read somewhere that the flush addive is good for cleaning the equipment and that makes more sense than feeding it to your plants. It's like old med said it breaks up the salt , at least that what I read but IDK for sure.
