Even then, if there is 2 mounting holes 90° offset for the hokder arent i missing a hole srilled in the heatsink? There is only 1 drilled and tapped at a 90° offset from the cob holder mounting holes. Or am i just not seeing the simplicity here?

those heatsinks are not drilled for those reflectors imo

Well then. I have the ideals. May hold on to these for the cxb build i may add later on down the road. But im going to get more holders, of the bjb variety and just use it with the reflectors you used as well. I can always add the extra parts to any other build i intend to do in the future.

I cant seem to find a part number for that holder? This is what it came up with, and it doesnt list the clu048 as one that is compatable. Do u have a link to the holder you used with you 048's?
for ideal reflector adapter mounting holes are offset 109 deg from holder holes:
Your right it doesn't list them but they are exactly the same size. I've got the 2033.50 and they fit the clu 048 1212.
What are you running your cobs at? I read somewhere the bjbs have a limit and i dont think im below that limit. Cant remember if its watt or amps but im running 4 1818's on an hlg320-1400A at about half power. And those heatsinks were indeed drilled for different holders but they work bare nevertheless. Next light im using active cooling heatsinks from mechatronix. That build will start this weekend.
