Okay son, it's goes like this. My cpp disability- a whole $800/mo. - is taxable income. I also caretake a property and my salary is taxed. My wife's income is taxed as well. I pay gst on everything I buy. I'd say that would contribute to paying your way and I don't get free weed for the privilege.

You were confused about my financial contributions to your well-being. You asked for an explanation...or did you forget already? It's that LP weed fuckin' with ya.
I said you were entitled to your entitlements, just that I don't need to agree with them. Our country's rules are discriminatory in many ways and this is yet another. If taxpayers are made to pay for something, it should be available to all Canadians or at least those with the biggest need and fewest resources. I don't think people receiving a government pension really need the break and it is unfair to force others to pay. That's just my point of view. I don't blame you for taking free handouts, I blame government for throwing away my money.

Not if the same opportunity doesn't exist for me. There are many things I am forced to contribute to financially that I am excluded from benefiting from, and I'm not happy about any of them. If you can't understand that, you truly are fucked.

Encase the others needed a reality lesson on what a pension is.... guy pays into pension through years working... akin to an rrsp... and if guy was so lucky to get injured during work.... insurance will pay for said injuries ie pills physio and mmj

Except regular jobs don't provide the same gold plated pension packages as government, if they provide one at all. I worked all my life, mostly self employed, paid taxes and paid into cpp. That got me $800/mo and no medical , dental or prescription coverage. Don't worry about paying for my old age son, I don't use doctors or the medical system. I'll take care of myself, thank you. Not everyone is as eager as use to take every handout offered them....
