Is there a maximum yeild per litre or gallon? i once heard expect around 1 oz per gallon of pot, is this true?
That is if you grow well. Also since you cant veg too long in a 1 gallon pot.

The reason i ask is i only have 2x2 ft area under scrog and 4 seedlings, thinking about using two gallon pots as i live in a small town and thats all thats available easily.

No just a small hardware store and nursery that sells mostly ceramic pots and, as far as im aware mostly 8 litre (2 gall ) pots

Even an icecream tub can suffice. Or small square crates at an office supplies or cheapo store. Just so long as it'll hold your medium. And not break. That's all you really need.

I'll let you know in 5 weeks :) I have 1 plant in a 1 gallon pot in a 2x2. It's looking like an ounce,

I had more plants in there, but they all fought for available light and stretched like crazy so I chopped all but one. 1 plant in a 2x2 is sufficient. whether it's 1 plant or 10 you will still get the same yield. 3 gallon pot would seem sufficient.

The "rule of thumb" is 1 zip per gallon of pot size..

With experience and wise manipulation of feeding.....I double that fairly easy.

Aahhh, Mr. oconners claim of 3 per gallon....Is rather far fetched in book.

dr i use a lot of the 3 gallon pots . . but i water very often . if i am going on vacation i will use a 7 gallon so i only have to water every 2 or 3 days. and ill hook up my home made watering system that leaks water all over the damn place lol . most ive seen out of a 3 gallon pot was 6 that plant was a producer . average is 2 to 4 in the 3 gallon pots. im sure you could get more have to pack them in .

I see. Your still dbl.....that's the limit as I've found......I can get a bit more out of 5's and 7's,,,half a zip or so total.....
Like I've averaged 10.5 with the right strain in a 5 gallon (Blue Dream).

Ive done half pound plants in 3's and 5's before in dirt. They just need the space to branch out and more veg time and you have to water way more often obviously. Pulled 2+ pound plants in 10 gals a few times. There is no equation that you can link pot size to weight besides bigger pots = bigger plants, just way too many variables. 3's and 5's are pretty standard size for dirt if your looking for qp size plants.
