mine have been growing indoors since 2001, their stalks look ancient and I harvest monthly. I ended up putting them in my grow room and they liked the hps better, and even thrive in 12/12. The seeds they make indoors fill my outdoor spaces with the herb.
pests avoid them here and I see sprouts in some buckets of mj.

I keep one five gallon pail going forever, its got around five plants in it, all root bound and tough now. I never did check time but the stems that flower will dry up, when they do, they're filled with seeds. I just rope them off the stems when I see them, snip the dead, and more green comes.. I cut about a soccer ball size basket of leaves every few weeks, and a hand full of six inchers many harvests

I've got a basil plant going under 50W of 3500K COB since last August, it's a clone off a plant that was started in the grow room then went outdoors.
Here she is a few days ago (it's a makeshift setup, I'm moving at the mo)

she's been harvested since, all branches are now same height as the front right one in the pic.
I harvest every few days mainly for sugos and have been cutting off any tips that start flowering in the process.

Hadn't thought I could keep her going for longer than till spring though, as it's the first time under lights. Cheers!

Your plants look great, they go great with that led color. Is that pepper grow as fast as basil ?

Better to use a generic led bulb, if you plan on growing it indefinitely the led will be quickly cheaper

People who replace their CFLs for led bulbs in microgrows never look back.

No, the chili's way slower, got saved last minute from the frost outdoors, so she came in pretty raggedy. She's recovering now though and seriously going into flower, so fresh hotness ahead!
